kevinthesheep 2,947
I mentioned this in another post, that I'm not a fan of the 'accent'/style that Gaga sometimes sings in. I'm not exactly sure how to explain it but it happens in the chorus of IWYL, in some parts of TIHTY, 2.36 onwards in her Imagine cover at Baku is a good example, also Applause versesI wouldn't call it slurring, but it's almost like she puts on a foreign accent, and it really really puts me off some of her songs & covers because otherwise i love her vocals and the natural tone of her voice. She only started doing it in the ARTPOP era onwards, and I'm not sure if it's intentional or not... I'm curious whether you guys prefer this to her 'regular' voice (pre AP)P.s this is in no way meant to be hateful

gagzus 16,058
i actually really like it, it suits her more than the high pitched autotune sound she's had (for this type of music anyway)
jsn 1,648
I don't like it, but I didn't even notice it in Applause lol

Harry 26,836
I know what you mean. I like it in Applause because I think it works, but in TIHTY, IWYL (especially towards the end) and even in some parts of Dope I find it really distracting. It seems forced and it's unnecessary because her vocals are amazing as they are.
Sia 314
nah, i actually really love how she talks/sing with an accent. But 99% of the time I do not notice it, it's usually how people talk around me. Don't be insecure if you heart is pure, you're still good to me if you're a bad kid baby.
