I don't think Gaga would side with either of us. She likes Grace and she'd laugh at us arguing over some of her biggest inspirations and the community she's very often stood up for.

You should really check out some of the gay orientated music! You're missing out on some great stuff. I advise checking out Pansy Division! They sing from about a wide range of LGBT+ issues, especially those that a gay man could appreciate!

Whose history? You do realize everyone here isn't a gay guy that hangs out in clubs, right? Some people here are straight, female, too young to hang out in clubs, have been brought up on other genres of music outside of dance music. 

Some people here, who are Gaga fans, don't ever even listen to pop music outside of Gaga, and definitely don't care for dance music. Even if they do listen to pop, the chances that they have heard some dance music from decades ago might be pretty slim. (Especially if they don't hang out in the type of clubs, in the area of the world, that you hang out in) 

Why is it so hard to understand that people have different backgrounds and are interested in different music than you are?

You questioned the reason for my comment. I quoted the part of your comment I was replying to with my comment you dismissed. Then, you alluded that you meant something else. If you meant something else, with your comment about "people not knowing their history", you should be able to explain what people you were referring to with that statement.

I think you misunderstood? She was making music appealing to the gays, she always has been? Hence why she's been using gay terminology in her music and all throughout her career.

There have been numerous people in this thread, some who are straight, female, gay, young, who have replied saying they don't know who Grace Jones is or that they barely knew anything about her.

They simply come from different backgrounds or are interested in different music than you are. That doesn't mean what they are saying isn't truthful. You can dismiss them, as you have repeatedly done in this thread, but that doesn't mean that they have a lack of general knowledge. They simply don't have the same tastes, experiences or opinions that you have.

You stated that you weren't going to take the word of people who don't know their history and that was referring to gay people. Therefore, I pointed out that there are others in this thread that aren't gay males and also that all gay males don't have the same background and experiences that you personally have. 

There was no reason to dismiss those who aren't like you or don't like or follow the same music that you do.
