What is so bad about this group? I went to their website and they are for protecting American rights...keep the government OUT!

I am also libertarian which we do as we want and harm none. As long as they aren't harming anyone. I don't see any evidence of that.

Kim is wrong, but there are people who agree with her. I mean just because the laws change don't mean people's attitudes will unfortunately.

So that excuses a federal worker from doing the job she's elected to do and paid tax payers' dollars to do because she doesn't like it? :hunty: (not sure if that's what you're implying).

She had plenty of opportunity to keep herself out of jail. She was told "just do your job" and given a court order to do so. She refused and was held in contempt. Anyone else would go to jail too until they decided to comply with the court order, she's not special and doesn't deserve special treatment  just because she and all the other bigoted Bible thumpers think that religion excuses you from doing the job you took an oath to do.

She needs to be impeached (or step down) and go get a job at a church or something.

Religious "rights" do not trump secular law. If they did, we'd have a Christian version of Sharia Law.

She broke the law and her oath to serve the people. She works for the government, and thus her actions should reflect government policies. Denying a same-s-x couple a marriage license isn't her simply having a bad attitude, it's her using her position in the government to deny others the rights that they legally have.

fiercely anti-government, militaristic group

You can say (domestic) terrorists, huffingtonpost.

Are they plotting to kill people? I don't think so. Your imaginary "double standards". :rip:

Also, terrorists looking to keep a religious "icon" safe from government "persecution"?

Sounds familiar, huh?

Terrorism doesn't require murder. Terrorism is "the use of violence and intimidation in the pursuit of political aims."

You aren't anti-government, you're anti-regulation.

thats basically anit government to an extent... i wasnt less Government

regulation is complicated and easy to mess up... additionally i believe business owners know their own business best and what they can afford, what they need, how they can compete etc. Regulations put in place by some politician force companies to have to all follow the same status quo... additionally, fulfilling rules and regulations is an expense that crushes small businesses more than large businesses.

Regulations and taxes often end up making the income gap problems worse because the big can handle the complexities better than the small

Most Countries who go socialist end up failing such as Greece or Venezuela... the only ones who succeeded at it to a degree are basically a few scandinavian countries... and even they never reached the level of prosperity capitalist nations like the US (in the past) or Switzerland have achieved... with the exeption of maybe Norway but that can be placed on oil

People are too stupid to have government be less powerful.

If you loosen the reigns, you'll have people like Kim Davis denying rights to minorities even more. Laws are ignored, people can protest or sue their way out of being held accountable, the process starts again somewhere else, the problem is never solved.

You tighten the reigns and someone like Ted Cruz or Mike Huckabee can get into power and become something of a "democratic" tyrant. The same people, 31 to be exact, are threatening to shut down the government if a women's health clinic isn't defunded. They hold the citizens hostage and impose their ideals on us, we lose our rights, the problem is never solved.

You leave it where it is, both results are present at the same time.

There is no solution. People suck and will destroy any system with no remorse. Capitalism, socialism, it's all B.S. in the end because human indecency, selfishness, immaturity, and greed will always win out regardless. Taking care of each other and respecting each other is obviously entirely too much to ask for.

(wow, I'm in a really pessimistic mood right now...sorry about that...)
