Erotica is looked upon incredibly highly in hindsight (even though it's not really my cup of tea) so 'crude and vulgar' doesn't necessarily mean a reduction in quality. Maybe it was her divorce from Guy Ritchie that caused the seriousness to drop (not that Confessions is anything particularly boundary pushing anyway) but she's always going to be a s-xual provocateur (both the RoL and AL eras had their moments)

This has to be the dumbest response in the history of responses. Ageism is a female issue. Men are considered capable and s-xually desirable as they grow older. Girl please, why didn't you tell him that when he responded on my original comment which said Madonna's ageism battle is self serving because she has never had anyone over 50 in her videos. If the last sentence is the only take away you took from my response maybe it's you who has a reading comprehension problem.

You weren't specific about which s-x you were talking about, you merely implied that she never had someone of age in her videos.

She already had made a statement that follows that vein in one her videos, regardless... :

 

She had middle aged women of different races and shapes in the American Life video as well : 

same with Hung Up (train scene)

Same with American Pie 

I'm sure I can think of other videos as well, but you got the message.

Also her back up vocalist for both studio recordings and live tours is still the same one since the Blond Ambition tour, I believe.

i can tell you are a very literal person which is not a fault so let me explain. The ageism battle is not just about older people being placed in video but also how they are portrayed. Other than Madonna in those videos (and I didn't go theough all of them) the older women in her videos are not portrayed as older strong and s-xy.

It seems no matter what, people here will not pass on the opportunity to make a remark about Madonna. People in their youth feel they are the universe but once they age, I doubt they will quietly sit in a corner and knit. Or retire. Or simply dress in turtle necks, sweaters and old people clothes. No, they'll keep working, keep going out, keep living life because that's life, living. Why should society tell you when to stop working, being s-xy, enjoying yourself? It's like those catty gays who look down at older people in clubs. Seriously? The world shouldn't revolve around youth. I'd rather hang with "old has-beens" who can give me a sense of wisom and experience over youngsters who do anything to appeal to the crowd.

He is right though. People are supporting Caitlyn (though they should) but Madonna who is practically fully clothed in BIM, being told to stop, retire, has-been, desperate, granny. Support both women. Both are fighting two very important causes; acceptance for LGBT and ageism against women. 

But some people still focus on "reductive" and stuff that happened almost 4 years ago.
