Evil R 1,084
I don't find it weird, it's generally done to set the general theme of the song and other singers do that too.
ShadesOfCool 1
Is this the official Ultraviolence (Song) picture? Yes, it's the cover
Antidote 95
I've thought about that too, Maybe because the song talks about how HE made HER feel,. So since the song is about him, when HE reads the title, HE would said "you're pretty when you cry" vs SHE would say "I'm pretty when I cry". Has anyone also noticed that in Cruel World, it never says cruel world and how Old Money never says old money? That's a great explanation I thought about that, too! Yes I did notice that but somehow I love it when a song doesn't have the title in the lyrics Edit: Also Hawaiian Tropic, the title is only in the beginning
Brian Newman 200
So, I know she just did a small US tour, but do you guys think she will follow up with one for Ultraviolence? It was impossible to get tickets when she came to Boston, so I wanna try and catch her this time around!
Antidote 95
I've never understood how people see Lana as try hard.... through my eyes she's probably the opposite of that but whatever. But ya I do think it's sort of weird how some of UVs songs don't feature the words that are in their titles. I wonder if Lana will ever talk about that????? If someone asks her about I'm sure she will talk about it. But I love that It's so ARTPOP Could mean anything As far as I remember in Kill Kill the lyrics don't feature the title as well

I also hope she comes back to Germany because the concert yesterday in Berlin was far away (7 hours away from me) and I found no one to travel with me. I really wanted to go, but not alone. That made me sad Let's hope we'll see her soon

Lobster Boy 1
Lana is so godly I hope she's happy, sometimes I get the impression she isn't. Not because of her music, but just with the fame thing, She's a talented musician I'd hate to see fade away because the limelight is too strong
Helix 1,485
Cruel World is really just about everything I've ever wanted from a Lana song I've probably gushed about it enough but I've always wanted a guitar/drum heavy song from Lana and this one really is just that And the instrumental has given me so much more love for the song. All the little sounds found throughout, like the clapper, and the xylophone (I think it's a xylophone?) and the little synth-y noises and whatnot :nooo: It's really one of Lana's best to me, and her vocal delivery oh god dont get me started

SS77 2,040
Well, the verses are melodically based on "What Is a Youth" (or "Love Theme From Romeo and Juliet") by Nino Rota, a composer notable for his work on The Godfather. Surprised that so many fans don't know that she didn't write the melody for that part of the song haha
