Explain more please.

The instrumental I was thinking of using is a guitar ballad at 89BPM, and the vocal track is over 130. So would it be ok to speed the instrumental up to, say, 105 or 110, so I wouldn't have to slow down GaGa to the point where it would sound like she's in coma or you'd really rather the instrumental not go over 100?

So I don't know how to check the BPM? I still use Audacity! :flop: But I have Adobe Audition installed! But i don't know how to use it.

There's a bunch of softwares that do the job (Mixmeister has a free a--lyzer for Windows i believe, Logic has its own, etc), but you can do it the manual way to get an approximate http://www.all8.com/tools/bpm.htm

EDIT: http://www.mixmeister.com/bpma--lyzer/bpma--lyzer.asp neat, there's a Mac version as well now

For Mac Users With Logic:

Insert Your Track > Go To Inserts > Metering > BPM Counter > Stereo

Then just play the track.

the point of this challenge is to make it sound like a slow song but with dance vocals so please make sounds slower or faster :)
