I believe in Gaga's songwriting (despite Venus and Jewels N' Drugs) but it's really good seeing her writing with legends, they can give good advice and change her sound a bit for a different album. I can't wait. I just hope it's not 2 years of hype.

Also, I'm still pressed we have at least 4 or 5 months of JAZZ.

Venus is one of the best tracks on ARTPOP dude.

RedOne was not writing these kind of tweets when they were writing God Romance and Slayjandro

:spin:

She doesn't change subject, you just don't understand the song.

Planet means traveller in (I think it's ancient greek/latin). Aka planet means gypsy. Aka "Venus", "gypsy".

Not sure how much clearer I could make it and how stupid people are for dismissing it as not cohesively thematic.

A planet (from Ancient Greek á¼â‚¬ÃƒÄὴà ÀλανήÄη (astÄ“r planÄ“tÄ“s), meaning "wandering star").

"I'm not a wondering slave", "Gypsy".

The term planet is ancient, with ties to history, science, mythology, and religion. The planets were originally seen by many early cultures as divine, or as emissaries of deities.

"Venus", "Himeros", "Aphrodite"

Venus is some of her best writing for this reason. People overlook it because it's too intellectual for them. Venus ties the whole album together.

I recently read a huffington post review of venus that said there was no duality of meaning, no underlying metaphor and for that reason it wasn't very good. It's sad that people are blind to what's in front of them.

KWEEN OF SONGWRITING

Does this mean she and Gaga has written a great song that will stand the test of time and will be a classic? I am hyped!

In my messy era.

Sorry but this is unconvincing to me because youre trying to explain the song by referencing wikipedia definitions, as well as Gypsy, GUY and Aura lyrics.  Sure, the album is cohesive in the idea that it references to gods on various occasions, but that does not make Venus itself a cohesive song. it is all over the place.

you got your opinion i got mine baby :nick:

I refuse to say that "aprhodite lady, seashell bikini, garden panty, venus" is her best writing.

nor is the cringeworthy verse when she lists all the planets.

nor "have an oyster baby, its aphrodisy, act sleazy, venus"

chorus is beautiful, until the overproduced, shrill layered vocals at 'when you touch me i die.'

Every track on TFM, as well as many on BTW, is written leagues better and more cleverly than Venus in my own opinion.

also, please do not passive aggresively call me/others stupid because we dont agree with your logic. that is a bit rude.
