Transgender women should legally be able to do whatever the fuck cis women do, seeing as they ARE women, so yes, let them be nuns.

Transmen should also be able to be priests.

Hello? Not every christians sticks to that.

https://www.gaychristian.net/

Well the Pope, the Cardinals and Co. dont quite agree with it, eventhough they might give in a little. People should't to give them lessons on their own religion.

A small group of people doesnt repressent the Christian faith!

People trying to change religion to "modernize" it are just as rude as people pushing gays to become straight.

Religion used to say the woman should not be respected as the man is and should have less rights.

Should the religion stick to that as well ?

Ugh I can't see the logic in what you are saying at all so let's just stop now.

Is that written in the Bible or what?

Compared to previous Popes the one we have nowadays seems to be pretty open-minded. If a transgender woman is seeking to be a nun I think she's got a better chance now than she ever would have before.

Out of curiosity, does anyone know if the Bible says anything that would go against transgendered people? I can't imagine there's a direct line of the Bible that says it's wrong, but is there anything that would suggest it's wrong in the eyes of their God?

literally came to say this, although yeah there is such things as transmen and transwomen, they are no different to the gender they identify when it comes to gender, so I don't really see why her trans past should be an issue here (although it will surprise me if the Catholics see it like this.)

they should let her do that

but it's not gonna happen

the catholic church is not a big fan of trangender people, I bet they even accept gay men more than this

It's not a legal matter though

I was wondering the same thing, something in my head (which could be wrong) is envisioning something to do with cross-dressing but I'm not sure if that actually exists

I agree, but if it's against their religion than it's against their religion. I don't know if being trans is against the Catholic religion or not, but I'm pretty sure being a nun isn't a basic right everyone has. If the woman is a woman devoted to her faith then yes she should be able to be a nun even though she is trans. If she isn't devoted enough to her faith or just doesn't meet the requirements than she shouldn't be able to be a nun. Do I make any sense? Her being a transgender woman shouldn't be an issue, but if she doesn't meet the requirements than she just doesn't meet the requirements. :emma:

Canada leading in LGBT again I see :whitney:

Not really since she hasn't become a nun yet.
