First of all, no need to be rude, this is a discussion thread so I can respond to anyone I want. And maybe instead of being short, you could have i don't know, maybe further explained your opinion/argument after my response.

Second of all you said this:

And lastly it is too bad, but moreso for yourself. As I still enjoy the show and care about the main characters.

Don't ever tell me how I should feel about anything. You are rude for telling me my feelings don't agree with your thoughts..........wrong you are.

Omg did you even read my response? :oprah:

I said "I don't get the fuss/critique about what they are doing/how the way the story is presented" and "I don't see how it should make you feel less about a major character dying" which means I don't understand your viewpoint/perspective, not that I think my opinion or thoughts are superior and you must agree with them.

I then went on to explain why I can't see where you are coming. Which I thought would open the floor for an intelligent argument/discussion; now I see I had my hopes too high.

I just got these petty, immature responses, "this is my side, you got a different side, well too bad" "you told me something I didn't like, so you are telling how to feel and react".

There is a difference between being rude and having a debate. I was setting up a debate, you were flat out being rude.

My problem with the show is the structure. Since like, season 4 it's been the same every time. one or two plot heavy episodes, then several episodes dedicated to one particular character or storyline. I wouldn't mind it so much if thing's like the Daryl episode and The Kingdom episode were spread throughout the season instead of being compiled into one singular episode.

For example, we haven't even seen Carol and Morgan since episode 2. That's a 5 episode break with them not appearing at all.

It just messes with the consistency too much for my liking. I don't enjoy having one whole episode of one character, then picking up the next episode in an entirely different location following something else, and not seeing any further plot progression from character A's story for several weeks while the show keeps introducing new things and then making immediately make me forget about them for the next few weeks before picking it back up again. :laughga:

I feel like the guy that left notes and followed them is someone we should know.  They only showed his boots and nothing else, which makes me think they are setting up for some reveal.  I'm trying to think of people who mysteriously left the show and didn't die.   I love notes, and clues, and mysterious persons.

I wonder if those tubs the Saviors took are booby trapped or in some way tainted?  They went to a lot of trouble making sure we saw that terse note and that it was brought back so all could see.

I don't think it was a bad mid wrap-up for a rather flaky season.

They should change up how they are telling story

Following just one particular person/group for one episode is boring as **** (that's called dragging)

I prefer they show bits here and there just like the mid season finale, I thoroughly enjoyed the episode

They death in the mid finale doesn't make me feel anything, because I don't have the connection like the rest of the main character

But I'm glad it's the minors

It can't be all the main characters get killed all the time

I'm curious to see how they take the fight to Negan on February

Maybe the mexican family in the beginning from season 1

Spencer's death was predictable, but I'm glad it happened. He was annoying and a kiss ass. If only he was as smart as he was cute.

I didn't see Olivia's death coming though. I liked her.

Was kinda surprised Tara was willing to take the fall for Eugene, but I guess it makes sense since he did save her in the factory in Season 5. I don't think they'll kill Eugene right away, as he can be very useful to the Saviors.

I really hate how stubborn Carol is being. I feel like caring for and protecting people and losing them is better than just being a lone wolf.

I really liked the emotional/tender moments in the episode.

Trying to figure out who "boots" is going to kill me. I feel like it's a new character or someone they ran into between now and Season 5.

Also loved Maggie in this episode, she was shady and funny.

Overall really liked the episode. Can't wait for Season 7B. Looking forward to the all out war, more badassness from Rick's group (especially Maggie and Rick), and Shiva making more appearances.

Holy Hell, I thought the same thing.  The ones who wanted to go to Alabama to be with family.  I can picture that guy losing his family and then getting Ninjafied like Morgan did.

I also thought of... Jim, I think he was.  He was in the first season.  He said he got bit at camp.  They left him by a tree to die peacefully, but we never saw him die.  I think it's fun to speculate even if I'm way off.  :laughga:

How do you think either of them followed the group to Alexandria though? :oprah:

Morgan getting to Alexandria makes sense because Rick radioed him in Season 1 and they had run ins in later seasons, so he was in their general vicinity and roughly knew where they were.

Plus Jim seems older than the person we saw.

If it isn't a new character, I think it has to be someone they ran into between now and Season 5.

Well, how did Glenn survive the garbage dumpster bit?  :oprah:  Everything is up for grabs after that.  :sharon:  Yes, I realize it makes more sense that Morgan found them than anyone else.

It's probably a new character; they are just introducing them in an odd way.  I can't remember who they might have met in Season 5 on that wouldn't have been an enemy.

It's probably someone brand new that could prove useful in fighting Negan/The Saviors.

Someone from the Hospital, but yeah it's probably a character from the comics that hasn't been introduced in the show yet.

And from the way the dumpster scene was shot, many of viewers/fans were already guessing/speculating Glenn survived. Plus Scott Gimple said this "We will see Glenn, some version of Glenn or parts of Glenn, again, either in flashback or in the current timeline. We will complete the story. That's the important thing" which further alluded to him surviving. And set photos leaked from later episodes. So it wasn't too surprising Glenn survived and how he survived.

I liked the mid season finale enough. I am happy that we have our old Richonne back and our group coming back together with their fighting spirit. Carole will probably come back easily when she sees Daryl again soon and finds out all of the misery that has happened due to Negan. Taking out Negan and his group won't be easy, so the show better make it believable. I have liked Negan's character being brought into the show and see him going no where soon or maybe even ever.

I know that we saw that boot, not too long ago. I think it's either Dwight / Sherry [ I hate them both, but Dwight is first guess ] or the girl who Tara befriended at Oceanside. I will have to go back and watch carefully.

I hope that Dwight and Sherry will get killed off quickly.

The future's uncertain and the end is always near.

Yeah Negan is pretty great, seems to be the fan favorite villain and the best villain on the show so far.

Yeah Dwight and Sherry are pretty meh. But I find Sherry more appealing because of her motives, her helping Daryl, and how she puts Negan in his place.

Omg you could be right about it being the girl; totally forgot about the female colony even though it was only a few episodes ago :sharon:
