See I doubt that; they take fan consideration to extent. Otherwise why would they do the cliffhanger in the season 6 finale, kill Andrea off before she really became her badass comic counterpart (and while she's still a vital character in the comics), and fake us out with Glenn's apparent death. They know their fanbase and they knew these things would anger fans and test fans patience. And with this decision, it would be harder to take fan input as almost everyone is uncertain who it could be and have been basically theorizing how it could be anyone of them that got killed. The only way I really seem them using some kind of influence from fans for this decision, is them picking someone that fans least expect out of the lineup.

The death is the beginning of Season 7 and sets up the rest of the season, They'd want to have they set in stone, otherwise they would have to keep restarting and adjusting the plot.

I see your point but this a business and a TV series to make money. The cliffhanger is a typical ploy used in many TV series in the past. The purpose is to excite the fans and have them talking among themselves about different potential scenarios. It may be very well they stick to their original plan yet it doesn't mean they need to kill off what they thought might be the best choice. There is time to actually change their original thinking is all I mean to say.

As for the start of the next season, do you think the beginning of the first episode will actually start where it left off in the finale (in the woods surrounded by the saviors)? I don't know and it wouldn't surprise me if it didn't.

Do you think that's what the people will do? It's just talk so when the 7th season starts they will be right back into it is my guess. Once a Walking Dead fan.......always a Walking Dead fan. :yay:

or they are just angry for a moment :flop:

There are always people complaining about something. I wouldn't take them seriously. :air:

The only "meenie" here is Negan.

I like it when fans do things like this to shows they love.  I imagine though, 6 months will go by for us and 6 months will go by for them and we'll have to figure out who based on who is not there.  I doubt they'd pick it up right where they left off.  I will be very interested to see the Negan story line progress and the story of the people who are with Morgan and Carol.  I think they left the audience in a good spot for October.  Yet, I know, for the millionth time, I'm the only one who thinks so.

I wonder how they will do the trailer for season 7 without giving away the victim. People will notice a certain character is missing from it, unless they leave out many characters.

I can't see myself get involved until a couple of weeks before Season 7 opens. I just hope there isn't a leak that spoils the fun of finding out who the victim actually is. It would lessen the impact and excitement of the season opener.

I was thinking the same thing!!  No spoilers - and I hope fans don't skulk about the set next month and spy.... or you know what will happen to them!

My only complaint with this show is how once we get past the finale and return to a premiere, they always drop the ball in the first returning episode or by at least the second one. They did that with the Terminus story. I wanted them to venture more in depth within that story, explore the place and how it became. That story was gone as quickly as we arrived there with our group. The conclusion was great and exciting to watch, how they escaped and brought the place down, but I wanted to know more about the place altogether. I am afraid that they are going to run over this big finale death, in the same way. I want to see where we left off, not a few friends indulging in reminiscence.

I won't spoil anything in this thread, so no worries about that. @Ambrosia @Miker

Yep, I thought that too - the story with Terminus was over too fast.  I also would have liked the Wolves story arc to have been more developed with all the warnings of, "Wolves not far."  I was expecting something more, but after the Alexandria invasion, they were all but forgotten.  I feel that a passing of mention of who died would be lazy writing.  If it's not right after where the finale left off, I'd like it to at least be later that night.

Jase

The Terminus storyline disappointed me. I was expecting some hardcore, next-level cannibalism **** but apart from THAT one disturbing scene with Bob's leg, I don't think it was ever brought up again.

Exec producer Gale Ann Hurd doesn't even know who is being killed off :smh: Maybe they really are still deciding  :smh:

Well Scott Gimple and Robert Kirkman seem certain of the victim, considering they are the top dogs of show, they may be keeping it from other important crew members. I feel like those will be the only 2 who know for sure, and then they slowly spread the decision to others, starting with Gale and Greg Nicotero then the cast.
