Not surprised.  Ungrateful though.  Gaga has done so much for the LGBTQ community.  Although, I'm finding younger people in the community to care less and less about gay issues and what it means.

She's done more for the LGBT cause then these voters could ever... Never mind.

She'll get them back.

THIS. I don't understand the LBGT community turning on her. Her very public support of the repeal of "Don't Ask, Don't Tell." "Born This Way" was the first #1 song on Billboard to mention the word "transgender." The list goes on.

That said, most all of my gay friends here in Texas still adore her. Not sure who the survey respondents were.

A lot. I find the results of the study frustrating too but you don't have to diss Ellen to prove your point.

Ellen doesn't really do anything for the LGBTQ community though... tbh.  Besides just being awesome.  Maybe that's why most LGBTQ people don't like Gaga.  Too gay?

My other half isn't that fond of her either :( .

However, I bet C2C will help change that... :p. He loves jazz / classical.

You know I've always kind of suspected this.

It's unfortunate, though. She genuinely cares for the gay community. Sucks that most of them think she's dishonest in her activism.

Oh well. Life moves on and I'm sure Gaga will continue to fight with us whether they think she's a bad rep or not.

A lot of people think she does it to sell music and get an audience, not because she is actually the B in LGBT or actually cares :smh:

All major celebrities that are openly gay/straight allies serve as a voice for the LGBT community, especially for the youth, as well as encouraging visibility. Ellen and her story serve as a beacon of hope for LGBT kids, as well as for young girls showing them that you can be whatever you want to be and be wildly successful while still staying true to yourself. On top of that, she is a very vocal supporter and advocate for LGBT rights and social equality.

Being one of the most famous gay people IN THE WORLD, it is a little ignorant to say that Ellen doesn't do anything for the community.  :ohwell:
