I think she is trying to make us realize that just because we don't get recognitionor appreciation for the things that we do doesn't mean that what we are doing isn't great and meaningful. Maybe the world just hasn't caught up yet to realize how wonderful certain things are. Basically she doesn't want us to get discouraged and stop following our dreams because others don't get it.
