Eminems and Taylors album sold more than this the first week You mean after one single, a single with no video that didn't make top 10 and a single that didn't even make top 50. In actuality, Gaga has had 1.5 singles on the radio this era. You're comparing a popstar to a rapper and a tweeny country artist. Country and rap fans are infinitely more loyal than pop fans. The tour could only move an additional 100K copies of this album at best. And the chances of a smash post-album single to revive the sales of ARTPOP are slim that only a re-release in the near future could prevent this album from becoming Gaga's first major release to not hit platinum in the US. What an awful album title Hello, my new best friend ------------- 700,000 is a good number and you all will deal with that. It'll reach the 1 million mark someday, like Blackout did months ago. That album was iconic and ARTPOP will be remembered aswell. Gaga ha impact.
