I find it was moreso troublesome with random people getting your number and texting you that they're gonna slash your tent during the night etc. etc.

sounds like a mess. Maybe it's because our Ball wasn't a BIG city. I can't even imagine.  Ours was so fun. It was like 15 degrees but we all stayed warm. No one really slept the night before, it was more walking down the line meeting everyone and chatting.

Oh don't get me wrong, ours was fun too and I had some amazing friends with me haha. None of us slept the night before either!
