When you consider the mountains of CRAP that are getting thousands of spins per day? Do we just have terrible taste, or is there some reason why she, of all artists, is suddenly a burden to radio? Then radio was forced to play it as it was selling 100,000+ a week in the U.S and was in the Top 5 on iTunes. Radio has no incentive to play G.U.Y unfortunately. People may not even consciously realize it, but I'm sure the core of the problem is the fact that enjoying Gaga's music is "so gay". But, there's an interplay between radio airplay and iTunes chart position. A lot of songs that are at the top of the iTunes chart might be there BECAUSE the radio plays them a lot. I have a friend who said that they didn't like ARTPOP. And when I asked him how many songs from it he'd heard, he said two. Two songs does not an album make.
