Indeed, I don't think it's doing well as a single. So far it has had a video, decent promo on TV, on the radio... I mean, if it can't take off with all that, it just won't.

I'll never stop repeating it, but if she wants to get on top again, I think the best thing would be ending the era by releasing Aura and make its video the Telephone continuation. In my opinion, it is the only remaining song on ARTPOP that has true hit potential. And don't attack me saying I'm delusional and stuff, 'cause you know what? Everyone on here was very much convinced G.U.Y. would "slay the charts". And we're still waiting.

In the end, the way the audience responds to a song doesn't affect my views about the music, but it's just kinda sad to see Gaga working her ass off for something that, in the end, is being received pretty tamely (especially when you see Katy Perry skyrocketing on the charts effortlessly with songs and videos that aren't even that great). I'm convinced Aura is ARTPOP's last chance of success, and I really hope we'll get to check that out in the near future.

why are you people being so negative? the song still has a chance. give it some time... maybe instead of complaining, etc. y'all should be requesting?

Stop moping and get back to requesting! It isn't over until it's over. It shouldn't matter anyway, but since the charts matter so much to you, I'd figure you'd put more effort to support it before throwing in the towel. Let us curb this doom and gloom and take on a take no prisoners attitude.

Now, you're talking! That's the spirit and what it might take to out request those in the Top 40 or even Top 10. There are probably many people who haven't heard the single yet or even know Gaga has a single out.

More requests -> more exposure -> more people hear who might like it -> more people request -> more demand = more pressure to supply to keep radio listeners happy and sticking around through the commercials, making radio stations happy. We don't even have to win over too many people. If 1 out of 5 people who listen, hear and like Gaga's music listen, that's a potential 20% increase to the fan base, in the millions. Even if she doesn't win back ex-fans, she could still win over a portion of the new generation of listeners.

Its funny to me but I really think Aura, Venus, Gypsy, and Donatella are single worthy.

Where MJH, Dope, Sexxx Dreams, ARTPOP, Jewels N' Drugs, and Swine are too controversial/unrelatable for the GP, and where Fashion!, and MANiCURE are too pop and basic to do much, Aura, Venus, Gypsy, and Donatella are strong singles because they offer something weird or strange, but are still relatable and massive.

Aura's weird lines and colorful editing is explosive and almost taking 2012 EDM POP, and making a crazy Andy Warhol collage out of it into something modern. The vocals are explosive, the lyrics are memorable, no one else is doing that, and tbh it has one of the best choruses not seen in years. I think alot of people skip over Aura as a single because it was leaked so early and has been heard the longest.

Venus is the obvious front runner. I think alot of people were a touch weirded out by it at first, but to be honest, Venus is more the "title track" and theme of ARTPOP more than "ARTPOP" (the song) itself. Its insanely catchy and builds that spacey, equestrian, boticelli theme Gaga has been trying to mold the entire era. The song is a summer jam. It is everything Katy Perry's "E.T." wishes it could be.

Gypsy is obvious, too. But to me its an era ender. Its got that Edge of Glory thunder to it, and it's the type of song you like to hear when you just want to feel good. Its catchy (it has like 3 choruses lol) and tbh...whenever Gaga works with Red One, magic happens. The GP non fans will tell you their favorite Gaga tracks are when she is with Red One.

Lastly, the underdog. Donatella. The track that everyone hates to love. It's downright not right, and it pretty much goes against everything Gaga stands for (of course we understand it is satire), but it has a bop to it that challenges even LoveGame and Poker Face. The lyrics are The Fame Gaga. Its dark yet camp. Its the perfect guilty pleasure track, and it is one of those tracks everyone is really hesitant about but picks up and will be talked about.

Exactly. Fan favs are always not good singles. Imagine scheisse being single , it would performe even worse. Aura has amazing chorus, and chorus is what pop song NEEDS. Here you have an answer why GUY struggles a bit.

GUY officially impacts radio today. The reason for the low debut is because the music video came out way before the actual single, and the impact wasn't as big. It will surely rise. It is one of the most, if not the most, radio friendly songs on the album, and the public likes Zedd, so it should perform well.

Had the Roseland residency not coincided with the single release, she probably would have held the video until this past weekend, or the next, to make it closer to the radio impact date for more promotion. But hey, she's a busy girl.

It is a good single choice, and it should do well. Now that it's been sent to radio, we will see better performance on the charts.
