Most people I knew at school around the time of TFM loved Monster, and it's easily digestible which probably would have been good after the Alejandro video. A fourth single would've flopped anyway, because I don't think any of the other songs on TFM was single worthy. And now she ended the era succesful and started the BTW era succesful because of that.
