Applause promo in the USA was good. She didn;t even perform it in the UK. She performed Venus .. like :rip: And DWUW is the smash that got away. Just look how people sing to the song at every artRAVE video.. and the fact it sold 1.5M WW in 2014 alone with no video ... (It definitely sold around the same in 2013) ... It could've easily snatch Applause's weave.. And if Gypsy was released as the 3rd single in March/April with a great video (after a great DWUW era with a video etc.) ARTPOP would've been easily platinum by now. It's not a Pop album to have a single out one month or two before it's released. The first single will probably get released 1-2 weeks before the album or even with the album.
