WorkBeep 0
Off topic: Y? It's not though. Most of the songs on BTW only got one listen, and HML and BK were the only two that stood out to me, a non-fan. After falling in love with ARTPOP I've rediscovered Born This Way and have grown to love it. But as a none fan, those two songs were the only ones I liked

WorkBeep 0
U were anti-gaga? Please do tell your story of conversion to our side! I fell in love with ARTPOP! Love the music and I've Gaga's style this era. I was also a huge Britney stan up till Britney Jean, but after the last few years of disappointment I just moved on and I guess Gaga filled her spot :P
CatelynnMarie 4,406
Actually it's one of my faves from BTW. I'm not sure why it's hated/underrated either tbh

IAmTheX 0
If there's something bad I noticed in Gaga's composition in BTW, it's that, in almost every song, the verses are so powerful and strong and then the chorus is weak and doesn't take off. It happens for example in Judas, Government Hooker or Bad Kids. Even though in GH and Judas it's not that bad, in Bad Kids it actually is, so that's why I hate it, cause the verses promise too much and then the chorus is disappointing. freebit 6,240
Like the intro is f*cking awesome and the chorus seems a bit too light and fluffy. I still love it though. I have the same problem with BJFA, like that intro feels like it goes with a different song (and I want to here THAT song). As for the OP: Bad Kids (like Hair) is just too cheesy for me. It falls into that category of "empowerment" pop that I'm just not fond of - I had the same problem with Katy's Roar. I remember being like "This is so....earnest". It just seemed so weird after the dark introspection of her mostly sublime tracks from TFM (SHICD, Monster, Bad Romance etc).
Stephen 30,423
I actually like most of bad kids, but the 2nd part of the chorus (don't be insecure if your heart is pure...) just makes me want to barf. I hate the melody she uses there, the production is so sickly sweet it's disgusting, and the lyrics cross the line from cheesy to "this is just dumb". Unfortunately, I hate that part so much that it honestly kills the entire rest of the song for me. THIS. It's just that part IMO.
sciencemonster 31
The intro is epic, but the whole thing is just kind of hokey. Not for me.
