Cupid 760
What can they do? We dont even have an army Political and economical isolation with immediate affect! The Moscow market is already dipping. It's better to "punish" them this way than with military force anyways, that will only led to unneccesary bloodshed!

He's been doing it since Georgia tbh. But it's never been this agressive which is worrying indeed.

But it's never been this agressive which is worrying indeed. It is also worrying that there's no one to oppose him in Kremlin. When all of the russian duma members (ALL AT ONE) voted to invade Crimea what coincidence is that, Putin has his own people all around him. If some politician would oppose Putin, he would probably end up in jail or worse... I don't know much about politics but as in curt there is a lawyer and a prosecutor in the government there also should be opposite sides to discuss an issue from different sides and act as a safety switch against impulsive/unthoughtful actions. Russian goverment doesn't have this switch. So we have a situation where one man has the power over a giant military force and nuclear weapons which is probably already aimed at varies places in the world. What i can say... Lucky those who live in New Zealand somewhere...

Lucky those who live in New Zealand somewhere... Exactly. The "democracy" in Russia is definitely a joke, the last election was rigged and Putin is the one with all the power alone. It's a communist dictatorship (much like China tbh, which is why they're so close). And this is the reason why we have a World War on our hands if it comes to an armed conflict. There's no way China is gonna sit quietly if Russia is being attacked. (North Korea may even join as well and we have NO idea of the military status in that country, god knows they could have the biggest storage of nuclear weapon in the world). This is why political and economical warfare is way better than military.

Cupid 760
Russia Blocks Web Pages Linked to Ukraine Protests Russia's Internet monitoring agency has blocked 13 Internet pages linked to the Ukraine protest movement that helped oust the country's Russia-leaning president last week. Roskomnadzor said in a statement published online Monday that it had been ordered by the general prosecutor's office to shut down the pages on Russia's leading social media website, Vkontakte. The agency said the groups "propagandized the activity of Ukrainian nationalist groups," and accused them of encouraging "terrorist activity" and "participation in unsanctioned mass actions." The largest pro-demonstration group, which has more than 500,000 members, was not accessible to users in Russia on Monday. While much of Russian media is state-controlled, the Internet has so far remained largely free from censorship and has provided an active forum for anti-government criticism. "a telling sign" the swedish foreign minister Carl Bildt tweeted. So yeah, so much for stabilizations and securing. This is a hostile takeover. source: http://www.themoscowtimes.com/article/495488.html
