The majority wants to join the European Union, a minority wants to be closer to Russia. In the end, they all want what's best for the country and a lot of people have yet to realise that joining the EU would make the country much more prosperous, like a second Poland. While being closer to Russia would be a step back, and keep it one of the poorest European nations.

And you have to admit it's because of NATO not liking the economic policies of Russia and refusing to increase trade with these countries as well as purchase products from them :manicure:

The only exception is China, who is communist by government but capitalist by trade, and that's due to the cheap labor which is what the US wants

If NATO were to actually trade with the East and outside of the EU, then these countries wouldn't have a problem

I know because my aunt lives in Bosnia, and she's employed by a company dependent on Western demand. When they cut them off, over 500 workers suffer without employment for weeks, sometimes months at a time. So let's not pretend that the prosperity would be solely due to joining the EU, but rather the government actually allowing for imports and exports to increase.

Well - see the difference between Belarus (which is basically what Russia wants Ukraine to become like) and Poland. There's a big one. If Ukraine joined the EU, they could sell their gas to European countries and use their own natural gas, making Russia irrelevant in Europe. They could also start exporting way more to Europe, and not all of the money would go to Russian gas anymore (Ukraine pays the most to Russia for gas out of any European country, due to a weird contract).

Ukrainian MP Threatens Russia With Nuclear Weapons

The ultra-right “Svoboda†(Liberty) party representative in the Ukrainian parliament warns that if Russia doesn’t tread carefully it will be dealing with a nuclear power.

“We’ll regain our status as a nuclear power and that’ll change the conversation. Ukraine has all the technological means needed to create a nuclear arsenal – which would take us about three to six months,†Svoboda party MP Mikhail Golovko said.

Ukraine, show me your teeth!

Before we start getting scared, how relevant is this party in Ukraine?

"ultra-right" so probably not that much. They must be extremists.
