Why was The Fame so well received in 2008-2009 ?

Destiny is for losers. It’s just a stupid excuse to wait for things to happen instead of making them happen

Because it's a great album with great tracks.

And Gaga was new and so was the music and everyone wanted to hear a piece of New Girl On The Block?

I don't really know tbh :bunny:

MORE COWBELL

'Cause it was new, fresh and Gaga's clothing was something really stunning and something never-seen before. And its beats are sick.

Luc Carl's former band was called the Fame. And then she decided to name her album the same. I wonder if it has any connection.

Sorry off topic, just thinking out loud.

Because Born This Way hasn't came out yet. I love BTW but I believe it's what made her unpopular with the public.

She really took everyone by surprise, no one was used to anything like her. Add to that some brilliant songs and clothing never seen before will make people intrigued. Everyone loved her make then...miss those times.

Because she had a new and interesting sound with a cool and refreshing persona, the music was incredibly catchy with memorable visuals and people were intrigued by her style, those would be some reasons I suppose. Plus I think its coinciding with the rise of social media played a role.

Also, it's just such a good album!
