A single-era that gets messed up and seemingly abandoned, with no word from Gaga on what actually has happened. Meanwhile she's planning for the tour and, as far as the general public are concered, the album cycle is over. Except she had told us what happened (firing her manager, depression, etc.) and she just posted that picture with all her plans covered up with (?)'s. ARTPOP has at least 2 more singles to come out if not 3. ppl should stfu and quit acting as though shes some failure. when u make 80 mil in a year u can start advising her. The plans she called "events" just don't sound as if they'll be anything besides the ArtRave tour and other performances. Single-wise (as with BTW), this era feels very much over for the general public rather suddenly (as with BTW), was my point this is dumb. btw had 5 singles not 2. Born This Way, for the general public / non hardcore fans, ended with a messy 15 minute video and a single being cut unexpectedly. This time around it feels as if everything's been cut off BEFORE it can get to that point. Michael 533 Posted January 30, 2014 Share Posted January 30, 2014 Sorry I meant in terms of singles + the general public's perception of her - and ultimately her place as one of the "biggest pop stars" of today etc etc. In those terms, the era did halt. Everyone who wasn't a fan and didn't really care when she was wasnt releasing massive no.1s assumed she disappeared to lick her wounds and come back with a better album or something. Tbh people overstate the decline that she suffered in the Born This Way era. No artist can be on top forever. Every pop artist has their moment at the top, and then it's someone elses turn. This is exactly what happened with Gaga. It doesn't mean that the public now hate her and think everything she does sucks. She's just no longer the new 'it' thing. I just refuse to believe Gaga, of all people, would give up on an album only 3 months into the cycle. To me, she's taking a break and that's okay. She said she's coming back so I'm not worrying about her dropping off a cliff again I'm sure she's planning all kinds of things. Hell, she's probably planning Act II. Anyway, by the looks of it this is going to be one of Gaga's "down" eras. Nobody can always remain at the top and this seems like her time. Like where it's more fan-centric than world-centric. This era was full of wrong choices, I love ARTPOP, I still listen to it daily, but I must admit the era is so over, it ain't even funny. I just hope the tour goes on as planned, and we don't get it canceled. This era was so messy, it wouldn't surprise. I mean, even Xtina's Bionic era had second video out by now, for Christ's Sake!
