I was kinda hoping this show would be a little less cruising culture so it's a bit disappointing that that's what it opened with, haha. The characters weren't introduced very well either but over-all I'm kinda liking it. It definitely strikes more Sex And The City tones with me as opposed to Girls too. Michael 533 Posted January 20, 2014 Share Posted January 20, 2014 Just watched the first episode. I really enjoyed it, although it's not an instant smash for me like Girls was. The show isn't as much like Girls as I expected, although it's very HBO in style. That's a good thing though, and I am already really looking forward to seeing more of Patrick and Richie together. I was very glad he went to meet up with him in the end. Although it was kinda slow at parts and seemed kinda mute in atmosphere sometimes, I can see it being something that I really get invested in throughout the season and I'm excited for the next episode. Patrick's date how ****ty Threesome scene was a bit weird for me as it kinda came outta nowhere and there was no build-up for it, seeing as we aren't really familiar with the characters yet. I just googled him and saw that he used to be in EastEnders, but that was in 2002 so surely I wouldn't remember him from back then. Hmmm this is gonna drive me crazy. I did think that it spent too much time on s-x and too little time on actually developing the characters so we care more about when they get s-x. Excited for the season though.
