MonsterOfSpain 8,307
. Scotland is to England as Portugal is to Spain. Scotland is part of the UK aswell as England, but Spain and Portugal have ABSOLUTELY NOTHING in common.
Saint Laurent 4,862
They're all 20 minutes away from each other, it's the third biggest music market, there should have been more dates. End of story. Who on Earth is trying to say that England is not a country. Like stop. England is a country. Scotland is part of the UK aswell as England, but Spain and Portugal have ABSOLUTELY NOTHING in common. Scotland is nothing like England. The culture is completely different. Rollercoaster 2
Then why are they on the same nation. Scotland is part of the UK aswell as England, but Spain and Portugal have ABSOLUTELY NOTHING in common. Spain and Portugal are part of Europe. Therefore they're no longer countries. The UK just means "group of countries the queen oversees".
Rollercoaster 2
The UK isn't a country. England's capital: London Scotland's: Edinburgh Wales: Cardiff Rep of Ireland: Dublin Northern Ireland: Belfast What's the capital of the UK?

Rollercoaster 2
.Of course they are, Europe is a continent and it has nothing to do with countries. UK is a sovereign group and has nothing to do with countries. Jesus, are you actually trying to be right? I live in England. we compete in the world cup as a country because we are a country. There is literally no point in you continuing because you're wrong.

StrawberryBlond 14,776
MonsterOfSpain - Here's a quote from Wikipedia that explains what we are trying to tell you: "Although the United Kingdom, as a sovereign state, is a country, England, Scotland, Wales and (more controversially) Northern Ireland are also regarded as 'countries', though not sovereign states. Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland have devolved self-government. The British Prime Minister's website has used the phrase "countries within a country" to describe the United Kingdom. With regard to Northern Ireland, the descriptive name used "can be controversial, with the choice often revealing one's political preferences." Terms used for Northern Ireland include "region" and "province"." Scotland, Wales, England and Northern Ireland all have their own accents, cultures, political beliefs, parliaments and even their own languages. We are all very different and even though we agree to call ourselves one big nation, we want to be recognised individually as well. Completely missing out one of these countries on a UK tour is considered a massive snub by the inhabitants of each country. This is where part of the tension comes from in between the different areas of the UK - so many of the important events take place in England and and the other countries are made to feel second best and unimportant. However, more and more artists are coming round to this knowledge and are including all 4 countries in their tours (though Wales doesn't always get a tour date unless it's by a really big act because their biggest arena only holds 7,000, so it's either that or a stadium). The BTWB UK leg was, as one GGD member put it: "ridiculous and unfair." I had to take nearly 3 days out of my life travelling in car and train from Glasgow, Scotland, to go see her in London, England. The price of petrol, train tickets, accomodation, food and of course, the tickets, was huge, I was exhausted and didn't know where I was going and it partly ruined my experience. Just as well I had family willing to go with me because no way would I have gone to London, a stadium, etc. alone. So many people from the north of the country couldn't go because they had school/university/work/family commitments. If they had a gig in their city. there would have been no problem and Gaga would have made more money. I'm crossing my fingers that Gaga's going to perform at Glasgow's new Hydro arena this time. Every important celebrity of 2013 is performing there including Katy, Miley and Beyonce. If it's good enough for the biggest US stars of the year, it's good enough for Gaga. Even if she does a Miley-esque UK leg (one smallish arena per major city), it's better than only doing the top two major cities as if they're the only ones that matter. Elizabeth 450
A lot of people do a full UK tour where they do to multiple cities, similar to how with the MB Gaga went to Manchester, Belfast, Liverpool, London, Glasgow, Newcastle, Cardiff, Birmingham, Nottingham and Sheffield. With the BTWB she only did London and Manchester, it meant people would've had to travel and spend a hell of a lot more money on transport, accommodation ect. if they didn't live close to either of those cities. RAMROD 108,718
Some people have to travel from other countries to see her and you guys complain for having to take a 3 hours train or so Some people not made of money. UK is a small country,3 dates are enough. Still bigger than Germany. Deserve more dates esp when she sold out 2 stadiums dates in seconds last time.
