Why were people upset with the England leg of the BTWB?

Nation = state = country.

The only reason I went into greater depth about the UK (saying it was a Sovereign state) was to convey the point that the UK is more diverse than just England, meaning she should do dates outside of England too.

No, state is like New York, and country is the US.

You're deflecting my main point, effectively derailing the thread in off-topic matters. I really can't be bothered going and researching a source to show you what I mean, please do that yourself.

My original point that she needs to visit more of the UK than one constituent country stands.

But it's not just England, it's like an Union of countries :P

I know, that's why UK is the nation and England is the state

I think she needs to visit more of Spain that only one region of it so we agree there.

I had to travel the night before for 8 hours then dead. I was ready for sleep, not a show.

As for the ridiculous conversation going on, The UK is a kingdom, not a country. England is a country.

An example of why she needs to have more varied UK dates is that the 2nd Twickenham date wasn't sold out completely, but if she had done the second show in Nottingham, it opens it up to people that can't afford a £300 travel bill for one show.

.

But I thought England wasn't a state

It isn't.

Continent: Europe. Collection of countries gathered for... don't get me started on Europe.

UK: KINGdom: places where traditionally, a king or queen would rule, aka sovereign.

England: Country

Lincolnshire: County (state)

Lincoln: City

Wragby: Suburb

Grimsby: Town

Waltham: Village

It's really not difficult.

.

What is it then? It's not a country.

...England is not a country? I'm not sure where you're pulling this information from, but I suggest you put your pants back on.

MY definition of country is equal to your definition of Kingdom. Spain is a  Kingdom and a country. Catalonia is a state or autonomy.

Your definition is incorrect and holds no factual basis of any kind.

It's like me saying my definition of a town is your definition of a planet. It just means I'm wrong. No room for discussion, not even a case of opposing opinions... simply wrong.

In this case, you are, for some reason, trying to call a banana an elephant. This makes you wrong.

I've always learned that country meant nation, since internet to my English subject at school, so I don't know why I am wrong.

Scotland is to England as Portugal is to Spain.
