HOTRODSGAGA 81
I saw that Madonna had a 75k attendance. Well, then 17k isnt that good. Yeah well she's selling arenas with capacities less than 17k in months. 17k is a really good number when u don't look at the capacity. And tickets will eventually sell a week before the show. Some people on the site really live off drama.

Foivos 64
Not y'all bashing my country for not selling well. In fact, 70% of the tickets for EVERY concert here is bought the last week before the concert... And Luc I know you are referring to me, but I just said that Applause was bigger than Roar here.. Not that the era smashed

There was a concert in Latin America, and ~5k tickets were sold 3 weeks before the show. That's about 15% of the capacity. Then hype started, media started hyping, and eventually, she sold over 25k tickets for that concert. Western, rich countries have most tickets sold in the first weeks, and other countries have most tickets sold in the last weeks. That's just how it goes. I'm sure that if she's sold 30k by August, she'll sell ~20k in the last month and end up with 50k. Perhaps she'll have sold 40k by August, seeing as most people are expecting lots of tickets to be bought this summer, and that's also when most students/teens are free and usually have a job to collect some money for tickets. Hermes 0
Applause was bigger than Roar here.. Not that the era smashed Both songs flopped hard. If applause got like 2 spins more than roar it doesn't make it more successful. Anyway, they better promote the show A LOT during the summer, on tv, radio etc.

The ads are everywhere on newspapers and there are lots of posters too..

Not THAT bad but far from a sold out show. Edited May 14, 2014 by Hermes

BTWB in Latin America was a mess mostly created by Live Nation. They put Madonna tickets before her tickets to sell, even if her shows were first. In order to sell the tickets, in some cases there was need for huge discounts, so the tickets didnt sell from themself, but the show is too far, so we shouldnt talk anymore about it. A lot can happen until then. Maybe Gypsy will happen. Edited May 14, 2014 by Florin
GagaMyBlood95 9,915
I am Greek and i live in Greece as well so i'm fully aware of it. Artists like Madonna and rolling stones had their concerts sold out (like 80.000 tickets) within 5 days. Well, then you know..

Resellers did - and only in small amounts (100-500 tickets for a few shows) And I honestly believe that a hit doesn't help that much when it comes to selling tickets, mostly expanding fanbase (performances and interviews), media/social hype and big controversy I think.
