If every artist would make Katy Perry kind of songs people will get easily bored. They know Gaga from her bombastic and weird sounds so they will probably like it more that way than safe songs. DWUW is exactly the example of that. And as I said somewhere above Venus isn't a song you instantly like. So that would explain the charts position. I'm not sure about how Venus will do. But I prefer the risk and the excitement from this song above another DWUW era. what kinda flop logic... ANd what will you say when Venus flop ? At least it was different - WHAT IS THE POINT AGAIN ? People are ****ing tired of Gaga's Weirdness, don't you understand ? You need to hear it 2 or 3 times to get into it, but that's the whole point. you may not understand the song at the 1st listen but people will be interested in it and listen to it more often because it's so different. It's a more difficult way but when it succeeds to keep the attention it will smash. It's that or another DWUW size hit imo I know that for sure because Venus is one of my most played songs of ARTPOP. I mean I listen to it almost everyday unlike Gypsy that I already deleted it I just can't see the GP actually liking it. As of now, Gypsy is the most popular and loved song on the album, so its the only logical 3rd single which by the way has a purpose of PROMOTING the album, Venus tried doing that when it was released as a promo single and failed. And by the way why are you acting as if Do What U Want is safe? R&B? R Kelly? "Do what u want with my body" theme? Just stop, god. Sis, Gaga called every single her favourite I remember the interviews well she always said TEOG was a favourite of hers I think right when she revealed the song title in fact.
