Part of Me (although it was a new track, so no one had it yet) went to #1 after her Grammy performance of it in 2012. That was because of the whole Russell Brand split. Every young girl and woman in the US felt sooooo sorry for Katy. They just knew that Brand and thrown her away and broken her heart and they could relate. There she was...on stage...being so brave...telling that asshole man that he would never destroy her. You get the picture. If ARTPOP is at 629k right now, it only needs to sell 371k to go platinum. 50 weeks at 7.25k~ would get her there. Besides, they'll spike come February/March.
