29 k in a slump with discounts

Lets just hope it's low sales and pray for an increase or at least stability in the future . At least Katy and Miley aren't doing that much better but I assumed Katy would be declining faster because prism has been out longer and Christmas sales are over.  :ohno:

Katy is really doing so good with album sales .. At first I thought she is just steady but not Impressive but now..  :(

And guys Gaga is like in a media blackout again her sales are just fine :toofunny:  She has 1 video from August and her 2nd single hasn't cracked 100M AI while most of her competitors are having 150M AI songs ..

:smh: I just can't with this anymore, why can't she be at #1 like Katy.

While I'd usually say that fourth major releases are coincidentally among the least commercially successful eras of some of the well-known artists (Britney Spears, Christina, Rihanna, Beyonce, Eminem, Justin Timberlake, et.al), maybe it's the music that's holding her back, rather than on the public image or the notion that her time has simply passed for now.

I mean, I thought Xtina and Ke$ha couldn't return atop the charts, but here comes the music of Pitbull which gave them both more than a decent hit. So, I guess there's still hope that Gaga could eventually get that 4th HOT 100 #1. Maybe not from ARTPOP or the next album, but I surely hope soon. It could even be a collaboration, if she really wants to.

She already has better songs, arguably better videos, more talent. I don't know what it takes except making silly songs for little girls... Doesn't the public reward actually good artists who work hard? Apparently not :noparty:

It's sad that the public also doesn't get enough opportunities to get to know Gaga as a true musician cause media chooses to report about her costumes etc more than about her as an artist who actually does work her a** off. And you know, the GP mostly does get their impression of an artist through media... but Gaga has been so badly managed this era for obvious reasons that I wouldn't be surprised if there are still people who don't know that DWUW for example is her current single... and her being in another blackout is also not helping, she's not in the spotlight at all at the moment, so I'm not really surprised and upset over her sales and chart positions....but I'm sure everything is going to change in the near future when she's going to come back with her third single and things are well-organised for her

I don't even care about #1 songs... Top 10 is fine, even top 20 as long as she had a smashing album. But freakin prism is doing better :deadbanana:

Sums up perfectly my feelings...

Let's hope the last sentence you said is true :laughga:

That's easy, just collaborate with Rihanna and make a remix with Pitbull :ohwell:

So true. The easiest way to get a hit is to collaborate with the hottest acts right now. But then again, it wouldn't be easy, given that Gaga would likely never want to actually collaborate with them - well at least within this year.

Think about it, why would she continue to do something safe?

She should release the DWUW video and continue with her initial decision of Venus as a new single.

Dope peaked at #8 due to forced streaming, but do you honestly think that of the current songs on the radio, it'll stand out? To be honest, I agree with the prediction that it would peak at #29, just for the sake of her name.

I've been lurking this forum for a while, weeks even, and I figured it'll be fine to post my two cents, since everyone else can.

It's a new year, and the songs on the radio have become chewed, spat, regurgitated, and overplayed. The public needs a new song, a new sound, and what better than Venus?

If Gaga never takes risks and goes the same route that's safe and formulaic, she'll simply be giving into the public.

That's not her image. Due to her love for Venus, can you imagine how amazing the video will be, especially now that she has had so much time to cultivate the ideas, redo the video, and perfect it? This would be something to let her enter the Top 3 on the Social Chart, as well as have an amazing debut amongst the streaming songs list, further propelling her debut on the Hot 100.

In addition, she'd have yet ANOTHER #1 on the club/electronic songs chart. Have you seen how popular Wake Me Up got?

There is DEFINITELY hope for Venus, as it is something fresh, and definitely a redefined Gaga.

Plus, it would motivate people to buy her album since the rest of it actually is fitting. Dope and Gypsy, while cool, seem so misplaced in this album. An upbeat album? Look at why PRISM still continues to sell high, people want to listen to more songs like Roar and Dark Horse, which accurately reflect the album's content. This would give the album push, GP push, as well as push for Gaga to prove the public wrong with HER CREATION

Give Venus a chance as a single, it'll be something that's going to be weird initially, but after a few spins, I'm sure you'll hear yourself singing the hook or humming along to it.

Also, G.U.Y. as a fourth and final single for Act I to finalize the strength of Gaga as a figure of female empowerment as well as a summer smash as a definite counter for Blurred Lines (even though I know it wasn't)?? Summer WINNER.

I'm loving you, new member :hor:    WELCOME TO GAGA DAILY!!

Please keep posting. These are my EXACT thoughts

Like It Rough

I think if Gagz release 3,4 music videos this year she will be ok. (Venus, Gypsy, Sexxx Dreams, DWUW)

Main reason she underperforming is lack of videos. She released only one for whole two years.

I still believe the video will help DWUW to enter the top ten or at least will help it to re-peak, depending on its shock factor. Venus might be also her future hit depending on its video too.

I believe Bad Romance would never become a solid smash without its remarkable MV.

Gypsy might be her 4th number 1 hit and I hope she'll perform it on the grammys, but that means, that time they already have given up for DWUW.

jude glad that you're safe

Not necessarily Pitbull, but someone who's "hot" at the moment. And as I've said, it looks way too easy, isn't it? But I doubt Gaga would even consider the idea of having to collaborate with someone else's song which isn't hers.
