Great post! Totally agree on everything except for only 4 singles.

Gaga should try bringing new sounds in pop music while keeping dance music alive. ARTPOP didn't need tracks like J&D, DWUW, DOPE and Gypsy because none of them fit the music/title. GUY is the best representation of the album.

Thank you! And in terms of single numbers it's always flexible, but I agree that it's a fantastic representation of the album, certainly better than DWUW. The era doesn't need scrapping as many say, just simple refining.

I was thinking, it might be best to save Gypsy for summer. 

 

It has a simple, powerful party chorus, it's romantic, it has a nice mix of guitar and electronic music... Just sounds like a good chance for a summer hit.

Do what you want is one of her best songs, period....

 

the meaning behind that song is incredible, it is SAD that it is not selling in the U.S because people think it's about rape.... just like ppl thought judas was about the devil

Agreed, so I've changed my mind for the fifth time.

 

The Venus era would need incredible performances at big awards, whereas Gypsy could do fine just at the Billboard awards and low-profile events and shows.

I still believe the video will help DWUW to enter the top ten or at least will help it to re-peak, depending on its shock factor. Venus might be also her future hit depending on its video too.

 

I believe Bad Romance would never become a solid smash without its remarkable MV.

 

 Gypsy might be her 4th number 1 hit and I hope she'll perform it on the grammys, but that means, that time they already have given up for DWUW.  :cry:

I am here for Venus as a single only if the Video is something EPIC,  otherwise I don't want it as a single and even If it becomes one, It won't survive..

I would be OK with Venus being released. It is so "Hit or miss". I actually love the song. THe only problem I have with it, is that it is really busy. It starts out with a verse, then bridge, then break down(take me to your planet, leader, etc) then finally a chorus(a catchy chorus at least). THen it repeats those 4 parts again. So as a radio song, it is definetely a lot to take in. HOWEVER, it is very different, up tempo, and catchy. It could be that influential and inspiring single(even a game changer). Like I said, the GP will either love it, or it will be too much or them. Her sure fire hits are GYPSY and MANiCURE. Fashion is also very catchy, and she sounds great in it.

Well we are still earlier in the era..  Applause and DWUW are Gaga's first radio songs since Marry The Night...  If the 3rd single flops the chance of the 4th single flopping becomes smaller.  She needs to strike with the 3rd single otherwise ACT 2 will probably come out in the Summer and I really hope Its lead single will be huge, If not then serioisly IDK :X
