Aciid 0
My thought exactly. Venus is what ARTPOP should have been, but I'm still loving all the music we got.
Kermit the frog 1,921
Add ARTPOP as being interested to those other 2 flawless songs ;) Yeah, when I think about it, Venus and ARTPOP (the song) go well together. So do Swine and Donatella. This album rly makes no sense as a whole, omg
Luc 4,775
I'm on your team. However if we wanna have a hint of what the GP thinks is one of the better tracks of the album, check the sales, and I strongly believe Gypsy sells highest of them that have not been announced as single. But is this GP you're talking about a good representation of the actual GP? I mean, Gypsy is an obvious single choice for 3rd single (yes I said it, Venus+Aura should be the last singles), but iTunes sales aren't the best way to estimate singles in my opinion. Those show how much the casual fans like the songs. Why? Because only pop fans and people interested in Gaga's music will listen to the album. It could aswell mean that the people who like Applause and/or Do What U Want and wanted to listen to the album liked Gypsy. It could mean that pop fans and casual fans who listened to the album today for the first time found Gypsy one of the better tracks. Who knows? In my opinion it's not a correct representation of the GP. Look at Miley's Adore You, that song went Top 10 on iTunes after the release of Bangerz: does that mean that the GP likes that song the most? Maybe. But it could also mean that the whole album was disappointing and that Adore You was the least disappointing, so they only bought that song. And after all, only casual fans, pop fans and normal fans/stans listen to the album on the first day: not a good representation of the GP. Marry the Night, Yoü and I and Americano were the best-charting songs when Born This Way was released: does this mean that those were the best single choices or that they would smash? Maybe, but now we know that these tracks were bad single choices. Gypsy would make a good third single, but only because it can be performed at the Grammys and BRITs. No other really good reason. ARTPOP would make a good single because this single is the most radio-friendly and is the title track. Sexxx Dreams.. the people who actually think that this is one of the better single choices
Alchemist 0
I'd rather have an album that's diverse than tracks that sound like they could be molded into one song
Kermit the frog 1,921
I would've gone BATSH*T INSANE if Venus had happened to be the lead single Imagine the impeccable slayage :nooo:

Kermit the frog 1,921
I'd rather have an album that's diverse than tracks that sound like they could be molded into one song The problem with ARTPOP is that it doesn't sound like an album, more like "greatest hits", which on one hand is good and on the other, it rly doesn't sound as a whole body of work, despite what lady gaga says about it. Listen to the new Beyonce's album and you'll see how you can make it sound diverse yet cohesive.
AURA 2,890
This album has rly no concept to begin with just 15 songs thrown in together with no sense. And I love u sis but plz don't come for Gezuspsy It slays. ARTPOP should've been an album full of Venus's tbh. Well the album is basically about DANCE, SEX, POP and yes, I love Gypsy too, it just feels randomly thrown on the album And I agree with the last phrase! tea spilled. Foivos 64
Guys to end the consversation. Venus is the best song of the album from every aspect but it will not smash because people's taste is **** Gypsy on the other hand is a bit basic but it will smash
Mariano 958
Those sure a + are what may turn out into - for Gypsy. Who would've thought Just dance & Bad Romance were going to slay the radio at their time? Venus has outstanding production. Just because Gypsy is a KP sure hit like doesn't mean it'll be one. Stop acting like you can actually predict its charting, no one can. Same goes for Venus. Gypsy's production is basic or what ? Ok I hope both songs become singles :)

Luc 4,775
Add ARTPOP as being interested to those other 2 flawless songs ;) What we'd give to have those as the real debut numbers And you called yourself a grammar nazi?
