Yea It's not bad but .. I mean It's kinda weird how record labels are ok with that streaming ...

In Class we studied (in Media) that Spotify are trying to get a lot of loyal users/customers and then they will start putting higher prices for streaming .. That'd be actually good (for the Music Industry)

Because Dutch people will prefer anything that's cheap. That's just culture, phrases like "go Dutch" exist for a reason. Even my parents, eventhough they're millionaires, try to spend the least possible on food, clothes, house, car, gas, etc. And yes, Spotify is used much much more than iTunes in this country (I use Spotify too, I only buy Gaga's material)

That's smart, that's why The Netherlands' Economy is so good (17th in the world right ? )

And as I already said we studied that Spotify is trying to get a lot of loyal customers and then they will start "highering" the prices, which is really smart tbh '-'

Whispering

Everytime I say something about the video, people attack me with "Only If It's viral" like WTF guys ?  R u serious ? There are million of videos and how many of them are viral ?  I am not talkin about a WB kind of effect. Videos are really Important, u don't have to be an expert to know that ...

As a piece of the promo puzzle, yes, but that's not what you are saying. You keep saying that a video is the #1 promo for any song and that it is more important than any other form of promo combined, and that is simply not true.

A video CAN make a huge impact, but usually it is not the case. Radio play, across multiple formats, is the most important and reliable for long term promotion of a song. After that, TV commercials reach the GP more than 99% of videos or any single performance. There are always anomolies like WB, Gangnam Style, What Does the Fox Say, or performances like Paparazzi at the VMAs or Stay at the Grammys.

Are they?

Then you better buy DWUW 30000 times so it can be certified or it can gone to #1

Guys, stop arguing about videos. They help a song sell more and they help a song to stay selling more. Do you really think that Poker Face would still be selling 4k a week now without a video? No, because most people find out about music via youtube videos or word of mouth (because of youtube videos). They're the most important promotion, and it's not just a small boost for one day like a performance. The effect lasts as long as the video exists and the video can even get aired on TV in many countries.

Well obviously I am talkin besides radio. And video is a lot more Important than you think .. I mean yeah ..  Performance can boost a song and then the song starts falling again, while video can make It steady.

You should've learned that with DWUW, Instead of saying "The song could've been a hit with all this promo" ...
