:lmao:  Applause doesn't stand a chance against BTW :toofunny:  BTW gives chills It has this SMASH factor, Applause would never...  If a song is destined to be huge It will be ... And not you saying BTW sold 8.2M because of its momentum, the first week MAYBE, but what about the next 6M sales ? Yes these 6M sales after the 2nd week, that Applause will never even reach WW ? Applause is tragic, It's not only because of Gaga it's also because of the song, I mean the song is hardly at 3.5M WW and It's the lead single of Lady Gaga :rip:  Katy's 5th single from TD sold more ...   Only the first week is this Momentum, If the song is crap, no one will buy it.. and the song peaked in its 3rd or 4th week on radio and people kept buying It and kept it at number 1 for 6 weeks ... let's not !

:awkney: .... are u believing what u r saying? :awkney:

Well, it's good to see that DWUW has stopped free-falling and is actually starting to slowly rise again. Although it's still painful to see it sandwiched between songs like Sail and Stay the Night. The radio update today was about as good as we could have asked for tho. Hopefully this is a sign of things to come.

I wish we'd have some kind of confirmation of the Xtina remix tho. I won't be celebrating its future slayage until we get firm confirmation.

If Gaga released Applause in 2011 the world would've ditched her right away, they would've laughed at her ... I mean after TFM releasing Applause :lmao:     BTW was at the very least something different and unexpected + risky.  If she released Applause seriously I can't think of the reaction of the people, I can't even think of my reaction.. I'd be like "Why are we getting some bad and old demo of Just Dance, after all the greatness that TFM served? "

Express Yourself and BTW have like 0.5 elements out of 100 that sounds similar.

Empowerment singles generally do well though. So, even if BTW was released this year, I believe it'd easily reach at least 2 million in a span of three months.

Some of the examples I've in mind would be Christina Aguilera's Beautiful (peaked at #2 in the HOT 100 chart), which followed the top 50 lead single. Two of Katy Perry's biggest hits, Firework and Roar, are empowerment anthems as well. Same goes with two of P!nk's biggest hits, Raise Your Glass (#1) and ****in' Perfect (#2).

hmh you are right about that .... but BTW song don't belong to that conclusion, yes it is empowerment song but from all the examples u post BTW is the most (idk how to say it) "gay looking song" it was even banned on radio in some countries people hated that song and it was true that when it was released it was riding the hype and the brand of her name not the song itself.

let's just say it how it is BTW sounds like 80's Madonna leftover ... it just doesn't carry the Gaga signature in it apart from the intro. it's weird and truns off people most of the time.

yeah so instead of giving us her old demo she choosed to give us Madonna's old demo :awkney:

thanks to Applause her image was partly repaired this era from 'devil worshipper' and 'satanic stunt' she become the artist with the greatest butt of 2013 and the one that u listen while u work out

radio love applause and if it was released in 2011 it would have hit 200Ai prabably

JD and Applause are not alike but It's just that they used the same elements for Applause like the synths etc..  and  ok let's stop now :}
