Can you not understand that it isn't about Venus not being the 3rd single, but it's about Gypsy being the single??? How the hell does Gypsy sound ARTPOP and how exactly can it reveal what about ARTPOP is about!?

It sounds Gaga. It sounds like her mid-tempo piano driven song, with a catchy chorus, that has worked for her in the past. Gypsy represents ARTPOP, because it represents her. It's a song written from her heart, about the choice to leave the man she loves for her other love.

It's a good third single, as it has the most broad reaching, relatable lyrics from any of the songs on the album and it will be an easy sell to HAC. These kind of melody driven, meaningful songs are what is big on radio right now. Gypsy was a wise choice.

Let's see how well Gypsy will perform :reductive: hope it slays, although I'd rub it in your faces if it flopped.

Now let's request. I'm making a big AC/HAC requesting list with all 0.3M+ #1 AC/HAC/CHAC/CAC stations

There you go! That's the attitude!....

of a 10 year old.

Seriously, stop making this about who wins their little fan favorite contest. It's all so short-sighted and immature.

It is a business decision, pure and simple.

Fans should want what is best for the overall era, and if something doesn't work out, it shouldn't then all be about shading other fans. Where is the logic in that?

Selecting singles is for radio play, not for fan favorites. It's a business decision. A record label selects a single that they believe will get played on the radio, on multiple formats, and that will help sell the album. They don't pick singles that they think will be "risky", or "fan favorites" (and only from a small segment of the fanbase). Singles cost money to promote and Gaga is one of Interscope's biggest artist. They aren't going to make decisions with the thought process of a teen super fan.

I support Gypsy cause it reminds me of songs like Timber and Wake Me Up. If those were successful, I dont see a reason for Gypsy to flop, cause its lyrics are relatable too.

Aura and Venus fans, wait for it, Im sure that sooner or later you'll receive the flop that you're waiting to happen.

Just give Interscope and Gaga a last chance to save this era in terms of impact and image.

Well said ...  but I want Venus for the next single (the 4th)

Why does it take so long for songs to become hits in the US? Let Her Go, Pompeii, Talk Dirty + Counting Stars were huge here last...summer. :flop:

the same happens with some Us hits in UK, for example We Can't Stop, Safe And Sound, Ho hey
