But would it boost total sales by like 100k if she performed in front of 400k people in the US? It can certainly help, especially if paired with a single on the radio at the time. Radio stations in the area are going to be promoting the concert by giving away tickets in contests. They use those types of contest to get people to listen at certain times of the day and that's when they play the artist's current hit song. The whole scenario is a great promo tool and creates excitement and hype for the concert and for the artist. Ā Then you will have the people going to the concerts that want to download the music or get the newest album before the show. It's not going to be a huge amount of sales, but I've definitely seen artists stay higher up on BB and iTunes during a successful tour and then fall down both charts when it is over. Take that with a successful third single, and she has a good chance of staying higher on BB and moving closer to Platinum. Without it, it will be a struggle. WIsh Gags all the best but I dont think that there is a song left on ARTPOP that could smashĀ She doesn't need a smash. All she needs is another top 10 pop hit. This time with a video and most importantly, a song that will crossover to be just as big, and move up at the same time, on HAC. That's two different audiences and that can make a big difference in how a song performs on iTunes. Plus, a hit song on HAC can reach a different demo, that buys albums!
