Gaga is becoming more and more a niche artist. People that love artists, like Gaga, that write, have the chops perform, with other legends etc.

Young teens or people that just wanna jam to a generic song on the radio don't care who writes the song or how they perform live. They just want a fast thrill, something to sing or hum along too without a song being too complicated. Songs that you really have to listen to the lyrics and get the meaning of a song. "Ain't nobody got time for that"

Dark Horse was Katy's 10th #1 on Hot Digital Songs

It's going to be her 9th #1 on the Hot 100 , 11th #1 on Pop Songs , and 6th #1 on Radio Songs

And her 8th single to possibly hit the 4 million mark in digital sales. So far, she's the front-runner for Billboard's Digital Songs Artist of the 2010s. I just hope that Gaga would be able to at least be included in the top 5 artists of this decade once everything is said and done, given that her closest contemporaries are bound to be in the top 5, if not the top 3.

Paper Gangsta

Like I said in the last months even if nobody thinks that could be possible, after this last 3 single, in my opinion she will launch Temple or Onion Girl, sure... New Music... New esibitions... Like somebody says 'Venus' is already done, the director, esibitions, so she can only release the music video, and in April we can be ready for the real ARTPOP slayage with a new single!

I said this too. Hope she will at least release Venus

And I will not surprise if she's gonna do like Beyoncè did, the Act II without say anything, all in one time....

Adding up Gaga's U.S single sales this decade (BR - DWUW), the number is over 24,000,000

I know BR sold a good amount in 2009, but whatever, I'll leave it at that cause it makes up for the sales of her first 4 singles this decade :ohwell:

Adding up Katy's U.S Single sales this decade (CG - DH), the number is over 50,000,000 :deadbanana:

:tea:  In the words of Sweet Brown

I don't know, if I would laugh or cry if Gaga released Temple or something else as third single.

I don't know what to expect tbh I mean I'm a recent Gaga fan but I just noticed that shift, my theory at least.

Let's not forget that it's also Interscope that desides what songs make it to an album and what not. They might too want Gaga be more commercial for the next era.

Like a deal or something "you get your freedom for the first one, the second part will have to get back to the roots more".

Ah well it's gonna be a fun ride at least

Trust me, ARTPOP was supposed to be WAY more commercial. I think that was because of the demanding Interscope (and fans too) that want commercial songs. ARTPOP was supposed to be 'the sound of the future' with '2030 shizz' in which they 'didnt care about song lengths', etc :emma: I doubt Donatella, Fashion, Applause and DWUW would've even been on the album had it been up to Gaga. The album was supposed to be full of EDM masterpieces in which she and producers Zedd, Madeon and DJWS push the boundaries of dance music. At least, that's what they hyped.

Of course, she's the Queen of overhyping and her team is even worse when it comes to this ('you'll pee your pants when you hear the lead single', Tara said summer 2012 :emma: ), but I really think that Interscope had a huge impact on the album. Compare Swine (Swinefest version) to Swine (album version).
