Pink does not get lucky. She works her ass off. Keeps her body in shape. Talks to her fans, the media, runs a very tight promo ship. Gaga compared is a bit of a slacker plus this era is a snorefest :noparty:

Nah as long as her tours sell out I think they are not that worried :)

They go for the money, and the tours are the money makers.

But Interscope doesn't get money from her tours, it's Live Nation isn't it ?

The biggest surprise for me is that Gagas LABEL agreed to release Venus as a third single (we all know it's going to be her next). You would think that they are kind of panicking right now that her album sales are the way they are and therefore want the most GP friendly and popular song from the remaining songs to be her next single, but seems like this is not the case. How did Gaga convince them?! It kinda baffles me a bit...they are either extremely brave and smart or extremely dumb...time will show I guess.

You know, singles don't really make money. Her 3 BTWBall shows in Japan made more money than Poker Face :emma:

And anyways, anything Gaga releases right now has a big chance of flopping. Gaga already has a video director, whole era planned out and such, so I think that it's cheaper for Interscope.

Gaga is under a 360 deal. Interscope makes a TON off of her tours and merchandise sales.

Well they let Gaga follow her artistic vision whats wrong in that? Also they let her release the best song on album. And they have team who knows what is better

No, there's absolutely nothing wrong in that and I'm happy they really seem to let her follow her artistic vision, it just would be interesting to know how much does Gaga need to explain them all the things she wants to do and how quickly do they usually agree with her...like do they let Gaga know what would be the benefits of releasing some other song etc considering her third single really needs to be something that sells her album and also promotes her tour...for me Venus is not the kind of song but I would be more than happy to eat my words and see Venus become really successful.

I really hope Venus performs good :emo: or at least has an epic video with a lot of views like  Judas, Man Down and some other flop singles with epic videos.

Interscope is an amazing label..  When she said they love her, I really believe it.
When I studied about the Music Industry in my Media Class, they said that some labels take their time in searching for ARTISTS (real ones)  and then they earn more money from them, because their music has long lasting value ...  And considering Interscope is the label of Eminem, Lady Gaga, Lana Del Ray, I believe they are one of these labels that cares about artists and their artistic vision.

You're probably right. Well, not probably, but most definitely. And wow at this 3 BTWB shows in Japan making more money than Poker Face... although I don't think it's always that much about money but also about keeping the artist more relevant and popular when having more successful singles. Gaga is kind of, how to say this...overshadowed by others at the moment cause she doesn't have any huge song(s) out...

And honestly, it was Interscope who ****ed up the BTW era with single choices.

If it was up to Gaga (at first):

BTW -> MTN -> Scheiße -> TeoG (she said that at LM.com)

Like after some time, Interscope and Gaga wanted 7-9 singles. But when MTN flopped, they scrapped Scheiße, HML (and Americano/GH?) as future singles :emma:

But Interscope came with Judas as the second single, worst decision in Gaga's career. They thought quick #1 hit thanks to RedOne :emma:

Well, who is Gaga overshadowed by?

Ellie overshadowed Applause WW, signed to Interscope.

MDNA tour overshadowed the BTWBall (more or less), signed to Interscope.

Eminem's album overshadowed ARTPOP, signed to Interscope.

Katy's overshadowing Gaga everywhere, but she's got such a gigantic promo schedule and so much payola (Yes I said it) that it wouldn't surprise me if their profit wasn't that much higher than that for Gaga.

:emma: they're still making lots of money in the end

I dont think that artists that performed at The Voice will perform at X Factor or American Idol. They may make an exception for her, but I dont see it at the moment.

There isn't some rule about that. Plus, The voice will have moved on to a new season. Idol will schedule performers that they think will bring in new watchers or will appeal to their existing audience. Ratings and advertisers are the most important thing. If Gaga has a major hit or if Jimmy wants her to perform, look for it to happen.
