even if DWUW hit 11... i'd be happy with that to be honest...

Due to the circumstances it had, it wasn't gonna work.

This is sadly true....

But if she came, everyone would talk about her! Queen Simona is waiting for her

:lmao:

She will ask about the tour 349 times  :dead:

I still die whenever I watch that interview, especially when Gaga goes full :awkney: because of Queen Simo shouting her true name

Btw I love how italy suddenly became relevant in this thread, our impact :legend:

I mean that her intent wasn't promo. She didn't' say 'Oh I'd like to promote TEOG, look at that promo spot in Italy!'. In fact she never comes here for promotion, that was a one time event because of her LGBT support. Her promotion in Germany is different, her goal (actually, her label's) was to promote the album and she did interviews etc. And even if the performance at the gay pride got covered in the media, it didn't have such a big impact here, and that's because everyone was probably like 'ew gays'.

Her advocacy for LGBT rights isn't well known here because well, nobody bothers listening to her english interviews done in the US, and nobody really pays attention to foreign lyrics. So people would buy her album regardless of the gay element, if it isn't exposed, and BTW did great here. But the pride performance was different, that was obvious gay support, and Italy is a homophobic country.

Italy is homophobic? :awkney: take notes from your (flawless) neighbours Spain :manicure:

Spain's aren't their neighbours though. We are their neighbours and we are also still homophobic :rip:

Most of Southern Europe is homophobic tbh.... To get the true feeling one cannot just look at laws protecting gay people but one should look at the culture and the mentality of the public.

Absolutely. For example, in Romania we didnt even had a law that didnt let gays serve in the army, but at the same time I dont know who will say that it is gay from the army.

It's strange considering that south Europe has the most ancient civilizations of all Europe and still today they are behind the North Europe. Its the constant wars and dictatorships that have hold Spain, Italy and Greece behind.

That's so sad :(

It also has to do with religion. I can't talk for Greece but Spain and Italy like my country malta are some of the most catholic countries in the world (whether they practice what they preach or not). Patriarchal culture is also rampant...tbh traditions and culture keep such countries from modernising their thoughts and ideas.

But we're getting too off topic so to be on topic: where is the DWUW video? :derpga:

Please stay on-topic everyone. It has become a complete discussion right now, which is no longer chart-related at all.

Anyway, at least 7 million views for Miley's AY by the time it hits its first 24-hour mark would likely translate for the MV to get at least 20 million hits by the end of its first week. That's impressive, comparable to the days back in 2010 where VEVO banners weren't that predominant. I remember the MV for Telephone got over 20 million views in its first week too, and that's already considered a viral hit at that time.
