I kinda agree with almost everything that you've said, but what I wanted to say sound like this. In the building of the charts, only the element of "digital sales" has to deal with the measurement of transaction, with the purchase of the music, where the fan share can't be big enough to keep the song atop for a long time, as most fan-driven releases fall down really fast.

The radio + streaming don't have to do anything with the transaction of the music, with its purchase, they are not tracking commercial performance; instead (and it's not bad at all) they are a--lyzing the platforms of music distribution, which is more edgy.

That wouldnt make a digital chart better than Billboard chart. Now, Billboard chart is controling even better the fan driven sales. If it will be only a digital chart, Justin Bieber would have a top 10 when he wants, but on the Hot 100 his songs lately didnt even make top 30.

She'll probably do like 40-45k

I hope she does at least that tbh but maybe christmas sales will push it up to something like 60k

That would be horrible knowing the song is discounted as low as $3.99 on Amazon.

These are some albums that had big increases and then big decreases during black friday last year:

13 07 11 P!nk, The Truth About Love 38,976 -66% 114,019 740,909
14 08 07 Jason Aldean, Night Train 37,455 -64% 103,364 825,859
19 13 24 Justin Bieber, Believe 28,797 -59% 70,154 1,104,559
21 12 31 Carrie Underwood, Blown Away 26,442 -64% 73,679 1,036,358

Pink sold 114k during black friday which is basically what Gaga sold and then she did 39k the week after. It's normal for albums to have a big drop after black Friday and then they steadily rise up until Christmas.

People like the Tropico mini-movie from Lana, but we know if Gaga will do something like this, we would only see meltdowns. Its nice from time to time to see something that doesnt have as first purpose chart succes. Thats why I like Marry the night video so much. Its something that nobody will do.
