I don't know if jhony was banned from here but I found him in that other forum. I recognised him from his prayers

He's banned after accumulating 10 WPs.

Tomorrow, on pop we will have

12. Applause

13. DWUW

:applause: The moment when DWUW finally surpasses Applause is surely a must-see.

flop :crossed:

:derpga:

I'm excited for tomorrow's UK performance to get her more promo there but DWUW really needs the video for it to increase in the US. It's doing good on its own but without anything to hold it, it will fall down.

I cannot say about Americano right now, but jhony should be back by March.

If I remember Magoo's post correctly, I believe it's a little bit under DWUW's figures.

Dark horse will look like something really huge even if it doesnt become that huge, when it will become a single. It has already 11 weeks on the charts. This means that it will have probably 15 weeks when it will become a single and that it can stay even 40 weeks on the chart.

Its nothing bad to have fans to play a video. That shows that there is an interest for the song / video. Fans also buy albums and they are counted. Only a small number of views from one person are counted, so you cant say that this comes from re-watch ( as spamming). Radios also replay their songs. Streaming is actually a very good part of the chart. Its more accurate then radios, that almost every time are late with catching up with a song. Avicii is the best example as is no 1 on radio, but just got out of top 10 on Itunes. Blurred lines is still top 20 on radio.

When MTV was really popular, they wanted to include that in their formula, but it never happened. I think it should have happened. 1m people watching on MTV had a better impact than 1m people listen to the radio.

Having more components of an chart is generally a very good idea. Why? People can listen to a song on radio, can watch it on tv and at the end they will even buy it : as an album. That would not impact at all the songs chart, if it will be only album sales. Actually, was an interesting part in th 90s, when Billboard didnt count songs that werent sold as singles. They were no 1 on radio, but they never were on Hot 100. Now, this anomaly cant happen anymore, which just shows how good Billboard chart actually is.

WB had a deserved no 1 this week, that just shows its real impact. Every artist and every song has advantages. A Miley Cyrus song can sell / get to radio much harder than an Adele one, but the streaming factor helps rebalancing the things.

I kinda agree with almost everything that you've said, but what I wanted to say sound like this. In the building of the charts, only the element of "digital sales" has to deal with the measurement of transaction, with the purchase of the music, where the fan share can't be big enough to keep the song atop for a long time, as most fan-driven releases fall down really fast.

The radio + streaming don't have to do anything with the transaction of the music, with its purchase, they are not tracking commercial performance; instead (and it's not bad at all) they are a--lyzing the platforms of music distribution, which is more edgy.
