Pretty excited for the performance on Sunday. It better do some work for DWYW's chart performance. I think the song if off to a somewhat ok start it just really needs a spark to push it into the top 10.

It's playing more and more in Canada now, and many of my non-Gaga-loving friends are LOVING DWUW and know about it.

USA, work it harder!

Hmm... I'm kind of concerned about the inevitable radio freeze coming up soon :ohno:

I hope it wont impact DWUW much

Do we know when the freeze really start ? Early December ?

**Also DWUW should be #40 on airplay tommorow :)

I think a lot of non gaga fans really like the song, more than applause too.

i feel like gypsy is too personal, it might have a great melody but the production is dated and the song's lyrics have some parts where its just too much to handle imo

it's the best choice for 3rd tho, no doubt about that, dwuw is interpreted as a s-xual song and it's not nearly as explicit as GUY or SD, so it gets me thinking that those 2 would tank even harder, so after gypsy the best choice for 4th could be MANiCURE

I think the fact that gypsy has personal lyrics is the right way to go at the moment. Even if it isn't a hit, it will do something to change the public's jaded opinion of her. Critics may harken back to the Gaga of You & I, and people will feel like she is doing things organically rather than mechanically.

As far as the production... I really don't think it is dated as much as it is timeless.

Real instrumentation and strong melodies will never go out of style. We've seen songs like Gypsy from everyone from Janis Ian's peppier stuff in the 70's to Elton John's 'This Train Don't Stop' in the 90's, to P!NK's 'Sober'.

That's just my take on the song, at least.

DWUW actually sounds more dated to me when you look at the grand scheme of music over the last 50 years. While Gypsy has a Bruce Springsteen air to it, DWUW has an old school Michael Jackson air too it. I keep expecting Destiny's Child to chime in with the bridge from 'Say My Name.'

Both are great songs though, and clear examples of good single choices.

I just hope the public will reward her for those choices.

Gypsy doesn't really come off as personal to me at all lol. Parts of it, but most of it is very easy to relate to

Gypsy is too generic for my taste but whatever, it's aiming for the kind of success that songs like Wake me up or Timber have, and if that means that her third single won't flop, I'll accept it.  :(

Gypsy has some nice guitar elements that seem to be popular right now, too. Wake Me Up is the same sort of thing.

After DWUW and gypsy, the single choices get a lot tougher and more flop likely

I'm also wondering what the 4th single could be after Gypsy.

As much as I wanted G.U.Y or Sex dreams, i'm starting to think that MANiCURE would be the safest choice.
