I've said this all along in regards to Aura, but all the people here that dont like the song or overplayed it are in denial that the public actually likes it. I don't really care for Gypsy or GUY, but I have enough sense to know they'd make good singles since they charted high upon album release. That article was NOT true. To give you an idea, the average marketing budget for a major movie is around 35 million. And ARTPOP certainly has not received movie-level marketing. News so it made it even more believable… Yeh loads of real news sites picked it up, the state of news today. it's ok coz allot of people didn't know about Cheng or about how nobody would ever give Gaga 25 mill just for promotion. She doesn't need it and no record company would ever make that back. Radio stations play like 50% Xmas songs and 50% normal songs. So they may choose to play more the upcoming hits like DWUW so its Airplay will rise and when it is over it will be equal with other songs which are huge now (old releases). In that case it will start getting enormous updates quickly after the freeze ends! Or the exactly opposite can happen and radio completely ignores songs with low airplay like DWUW Why do people keep talking about this radio freeze? AC stations are the only stations that convert completely over to Christmas music and Gaga hardly gets AC play anyhow. HAC stations will play a few Christmas songs throughout the day, but Pop stations will continue playing their regular playlists, with a Christmas song ever so often, up until the week before Christmas. The week before Christmas, they will switch over to more Christmas songs in their daily playlists. Things will slow down the week before Christmas and until New Years Day, due to PDs, DJs and the music industry taking vacation days and because of Christmas songs.
