Jesse Pinkman 4,660
Yes. I mean have people seen Lüc Carl? She dated the dude for 6 years and he's a huge metalhead. Also Lady Starlight who's been one of her best friends for years is definitely a punk-rocker. !!!! Thank you! It's science, bitch
Kermit the frog 1,921
I agree with you to some extent. She does certainly adopt looks that are stereotypically punk. But just because you listen to punk music or sometimes dress "punk"does not make you a "punk rocker." I listen to punk sometimes, and I can assure you that I am definitely not a punk rocker in the least. Punk rock is steeped in counter-culturalism. Rebelling against the mainstream. Fighting the system. Raging against the Machine. Gaga embraces all of the above. This.
Nemo 4,286
She shouldn't have said that. She should, if it's her truth. Anyway, she's said it before. She can be wrong -- she is wrong -- but that doesn't mean she shouldn't say it.

Nemo 4,286
That was Madonna It's both of them. (Yeah, Madonna is "from" Michigan, but New York was formative for her, and she's a New Yorker at heart now, I think.)
BornSimon 4,818
I love what she's said. She hasn't said anything negative, she's always very respectful of other artists, even when she's not agreeing with them. Madonna's fans (well, not all of them I'd like to think) will just use this as YET another excuse to insult her.
Shadow 6,596
Just when the Madonna comparisons were starting to fade. So if her dream was to piss off Madonna, could any of this friction be intentional then? I remember Madonna got hit with Gaga questions just as much as Gaga gets hit with Madonna questions. Is it all fair game the media is dragging out? Just like this "rivalry" between Gaga and Katy that doesn't really exist. As people like to watch UFC and boxing, people get drawn to watch a cat fight. Both fan bases just get used to make money for the corporate heads. JSS

Both fan bases just get used to make money for the corporate heads.I've been saying this since the very beginning. I do hear similarities between Born This Way and Express Yourself, but the way this story has been stretched since forever makes it quite obvious that most of it is just attention seeking talk.
