GypsyGaga 0
To me, there's no shame in picking songs that are obviously more commercial, and therefore "safer," as singles. The purpose of the singles is to get people to buy the album. Besides, in my opinion, nothing Lady Gaga does is safe. That's why we all love her so much. Personally, I think Gypsy, MANiCURE, and then G.U.Y. as singles would be the ideal way to go. I'd love to see a sixth single in Sexxx Dreams or Venus. craig 680
I'd say Aura is the slightly risky song that could smash.Or MANiCURE - it's catchy and fun electro-rock, but maybe too hard sounding for radio. I Kissed a Girl was an electro-rock smash. On the other hand, radio didn't like Adele's 4th single.Gypsy I'm quite sure won't flop but won't do better than TEOG (best case) or Yuyi (worst case). jhonyguy04 3
This is not the time to take risks. She needs smash hits. At least 3 for this era due to the album sales. I was going to say 2, but that was considering if her album sales were strong, which aren't.

Mariano 958
I want Gypsy not only because It's "safe" It's still different from everything else .. It's a typical Gaga style song ... But It has a MESSAGE which Is the most Important thing ... And the structure Is flawless. . . It starts as a Ballad, goes to Mid Tempo and In the end at "I'm i'm .... " It's even Up Tempo ! Set Fire To The Rain slayed on radio, so did Rumour Has It and basically any Adele single (including Chasing Pavements ). But please, can we keep this thread positive? I'm not here for a dragfest. MyStory 0
Sis I'd be happy with Venus flopping as long as we keep getting this out of this world performances and a flawless video And Donatella & MANiCURE are some of Gaga's gayest songs tbh, it's hard to deal with them even for a gay guy

Luc 4,775
Neither will Judas nor MTN Both were different cases. MTN only flopped because everybody hated her and because of Yoü and I, which flopped everywhere outside of the US. MTN would've gone 2x Platinum as second single for sure. Judas was risky because of the lyrics, it wasn't risky in the way ARTPOP's lyrics are, but it was risky because it was about religion and the GP saw it as a song about being in love with the devil. Releasing it at Easter wasn't a smart decision either.
