There's nothing to save though. DWUW is still growing. Sales for the album will be steady. Stop acting like this flopped. 260K is still good. She can do 600K before the year ends unless this album truly flops after this week. ( I mean, it drops hard and fast).

 

We could have a repeat of the Applause single situation with the album as a whole.

Might grind out steady sales for awhile, long as she can keep putting singles in top 10.

Thing we must remember is, unlike BTW, we seem to have some stability with singles. Applause has done a good job and it's still big but DWUW is coming at the perfect time, and with the upcoming big promo it should take the spotlight just at the right time as Applause eventually dies.

 

She seems to have won back the support of radio which she lost a lot of in 2011 so she will hopefully be more of a consistent force on the airwaves this time round, and that should help with the longevity of album sales. All we need to go with that is decent, regular promotion.

and.....another light red update for DWUW. if that song flops, then there was nothing that could have saved Gaga's career sorry. and unconditionally is not going to flop as much as we wish. it's not free falling like Judas. its stable in the top 20. lets not kid ourselves.

Gaga's second single is performing almost like Royals was at this stage, its gonna be huge. Its just being overshadowed greatly now by ARTPOP's projected debut.

 

Sigh. If only that projection were 300-325k. The mood would be SO different. Would there be confetti? No, but we'd all tolerate it and 300k is a lot better sounding than 250k for w/e reason

My projection a few weeks ago was 350-425K, so at least it wouldve been in my sphere of 00's. 200s.... lol

Nope, 250K is not good. We just have to accept it. 

Well, after DWUW is done it's likely she'll release Venus (praying she doesn't) and that would be catastrophic. 

 

I don't think today is a good day to think 'Venus' could be a single. 

 

Anyway whatever the numbers, she just HAS to debut at #1 ... or else brace yourselves..

 

Once it's done ARTPOP can sell whatever I dont care (platinum in the end would be nice), I'll be happy with radio success for this album.
