Just found out Treasure by Bruno Mars passed 2M this past week. That song was enormous on radio.

Is 2M the new standard for big radio songs by established artists considering single sales are falling?

 

Treasure actually was not all that enormous at radio in comparison to some of his previous singles. Plus it was a 3rd single and later singles typically always sell less than lead and 2nd singles that were big hits.

They are EXTREMELY smart to put off the video, imo. Let it build airplay, increase sales from SNL/AMAs, then release the video. That's the only way it could go #1.

It was still one of the bigger radio hits of 2013, comparing its A.I to other songs.

It was a summer smash though, so the impact is a tad bit higher like his other summer songs (even if they didn't sell as much as his top hits).

Putting off the video is fine for the US, not for international. Unless shes running around doing TV spots 50 times in Germany and France and Japan etc, the video cant be that late. lol.

She couldnt edit the video that quickly unless it comes out like garbage lol
