I requested. I also recommend radio stain Y100 in Miami, FL. Miami is a huge market. Its #012 under top 40. I figured that would be the response since I never heard it once on the station even when it was new, but they have/had plenty of other hits from around the same time like Roar, Blurred Lines, and Wrecking Ball. I figured it was worth a try. I'm thinking about posting their request page here. Do you guys think maybe if they get more and more requests for it, they'll add it even though it's not "new" anymore? The only Gaga song they still play regularly is Paparazzi (they were all over the BTW singles in 2011 except for Judas and MTN so it's really sad to see them snub ARTPOP and then get an attitude if you request Applause). Why is it so hard to get Applause to play on AC stations? It was sent to them, but most of them never played it. Out of the several in my area, only two of them bothered ever playing it (they're the only two that have them listed on their request pages), and one of them saves it for Saturday nights only. If you live in the Bronx or upper Manhattan, you'll probably get an OK signal of it, and you can also stream it online. It's an AC station, so it plays a mix of older and newer songs. You can request online at http://www.whud.com/request/ or via text at 87301, but if you do text, they might notice something's fishy if your area code is not 914 or 845. Only request on weekdays between the hours of 12-1PM Eastern and 7PM-12AM Eastern, and don't request more than once a day under the same name or Email address (be careful if you're Email client's link makes it obvious it's not from the US such as ".co.uk", etc.). For the "town" field, pick any town from the map or list on this page. Be sure to keep it consistent with whatever name/Email you use if you plan to request over multiple days or they will know you're not from the listening area. Maybe choose the town who's name is closest to the name of the town you actually live in. The only Lady Gaga songs they actually play are Paparazzi, Bad Romance, and The Edge of Glory. Try not to request these. Request Applause, please! :) You will 99% likely get a response saying "We don't have it." but that's OK because hopefully they will at least see there's a demand for newer Lady Gaga songs. A warning, though: the response may contain attitude from the DJ's (she's probably had a lot of requests for it judging by what she sent me, although I filled the "message" field with stuff about how I love Gaga and wish they played her more, etc., so that probably pissed her off a bit...), but ignore it. :P Let me know what she says. I really appreciate this, guys. :) This station really seems to be biased against Gaga nowadays compared to the TFM and BTW eras (especially in favor of Katy and Miley; go to their play history to see how little they play Gaga compared to her contemporaries). WLTW-FM, 106.7, based in New York City, is an AC station branded "Lite FM". It's also available on iHeartRadio. Note that this station is listed in the OP, but I'm mentioning it again because AC stations are most important. They have two pages for making requests, their usual request page (which only lists Bad Romance, Poker Face, and TEOG), and their Email page, which is more direct. The same page also lists their studio phone number. Do not request after 7 PM Eastern, as they syndicate a national radio show at that time until midnight every weekday (Delilah). Use the Email page (second link) to request Applause or enter it in one of the custom song fields on the first link. They do not have Applause nor did they every play it AFAIK (again, Applause is not played by most AC stations in this area for some reason), but request it anyway, please. :) WEBE, 107.9 FM, is an AC station based in Connecticut, also available on iHeartRadio. They also do not appear to have any Gaga songs post-TEOG. Here is their request page. Request Applause! In the "City" field, just say "Bridgeport", "Stamford", or "Danbury" (or any other city on a map of CT). You can also call them at 1-800-WEBE108. WWFS, 102.7 FM (Fresh 102.7) is a Hot AC station in New York City. They don't play ANY Gaga AT ALL. They play literally every artist who has had a hit since 2010 EXCEPT her. Request Applause or DWUW via phone (800-949-1027) or text (21027). WEZN, 99.9 FM (Star 99.9), is a Hot AC station also based in Connecticut, also available on iHeartRadio. I have heard Applause on their station before, but they recently removed it from their request page. But request it anyway and hopefully they can still play it. They also have an active Twitter page, but no proper request phone line. WRNQ, 92.1 FM, is an AC station based in Dutchess County, NY (part of WHUD's market), also available on iHeartRadio. They DO have Applause. This station and WFAS are the only AC stations in the area that have it available on their request pages. Request it here. For the city, choose something here. Finally, my favorite local station, WFAS-FM 94.3, also an AC station, available on iHeartRadio under "FAS Online". They play a good mix of songs and artists in general, and they do play Gaga every day even though it's almost-always her older songs, so put it in your IHR favorites if you want. The best time to request is on Saturday nights from 5-8PM Eastern. This is part of a block where they play "party hits" (many of which they don't play in their regular rotation) and they do take requests. They always play a Gaga song during this block and it's usually DWUW or Applause. The number is 914-285-9327. Note that the DJ will ask you what town you live in, so just choose something on this map (if you forgot to choose a city off the map or can't remember any, just say "Yonkers" or "White Plains"). If you're calling during the Saturday Night party block, he won't hesitate to play Applause or DWUW. Maybe he'll even play G.U.Y., though I've never heard it (he often plays TIHWD, though) If he says no to Applause or DWUW, it's probably just because he already played it or another Gaga song already. If that's the case, just choose whatever song or artist you like so you don't waste his time. On other days, they do often play the other Gaga songs listed in the column on the right of their request page, but request Applause, please! This was WHUD 100.7, I imagine? I'm 99% sure they don't have PF either, just Paparazzi, BR (a terrible edit that removes the entire bridge), and TEOG (they used to have Alejandro, BTW, and Y&I but they don't anymore). Thanks anyway. At least she wasn't rude to you about it like she was with me... You should've asked her why they don't have Applause, though. They used to be my primary radio station but their songs got so repetitive and then I was done with them when I never heard Applause once after listening to them play Roar and Blurred Lines 5x each a day, and then I never heard the BTW songs after mid-2012 except the occasional TEOG. I still kept them in my first page of presets since it's a local station, but after they sent me that rude Email after I begged them to play Applause, I moved them to my last page which I almost never use. Keep requesting to WHUD, though, guys (and the other stations I mentioned on the previous page). Just so that they know Gaga still has a fanbase, and hopefully they'll at least gain some of my respect back if they play the first LG5 single (we should definitely request it as much as possible when that drops). If you ever want to hear Gaga and lots of great dance songs both new and nostalgic, add "FAS Online" to your iHeartRadio favorites and tune in on Saturday nights from 5-8 PM Eastern (they're also a great AC station on other days with a great mix of songs, no bias towards certain artists or the same current hits). You can even request at this time via their phone number (but you'd have to mention a city in Westchester County NY such as White Plains or Yonkers because they only grant requests from their listening area, obviously).
