Yeah right. DWUW was soo-already planned as the next single that is why they announced Venus as the second single, Gaga teased us a couple of times about it by giving Info's and lyrics + they even filmed a MV for it already.

A Stan Was Born

He's the co-director of charts at Billboard. Now everyone shut up

It's like he's blatantly hinting at them playing favorites with the song :toofunny:

APPLAUSE4YOU

I wish people would just let the decision run its course. It isn't like you all complaining is going to change anything now, lol. Just start doing your job and do these things: 1) Buy + Gift on iTunes if you can. 2) Request on Radio (no spamming) 3) And talk to your friends and promote it on social media.

Do what any loyal fan base would do and enjoy the ride (even if it gets messy).

VforVendetta

TeoG, Judas and Applause say hi.

TeoG: really bad video due to rush release

Judas: boring performances

Applause: bad promo.

Judas on X factor France is one of Gagas best performances ever! Also her performance on SNL was amazing and had top-of-the-class vocals...

Yet again, only caring for the US. THE US ISN'T THE ONLY MARKET, HELL, THE OTHER MARKETS ARE MUCH MORE IMPORTANT. BORN THIS WAY (album) SOLD 25% OF ITS COPIES IN THE US. APPLAUSE SOLD 60-75% OF ITS COPIES IN THE US.

If Venus was #1 contender as innovative dance single, what does that say about the rest?.

Are we left with R&B rapper collabs and ballads to squeeze out radio hits?

We have no idea how "innovative" or "dance" Venus actually is. Don't buy into Gaga's descriptions of her songs before we actually hear

I'm not advocating that she always and forever goes for the less risky single option but maybe it's smart to ride the momentum of a very well received track in this case.

Pure Adrenaline

The people saying Interscope is destroying Gaga's career single by single = overdramatic bipolars people.....Dont forget Interscope are also the same label that gave her 12 top 10 singles (out of 13). Watch those SAME people saying DWUW  is '''slaying''' when it will have a good radio support.......

Also Gaga herself was overwhelmed with the response over the track, it's not like she's crying in a corner begging Interscope to release 'Venus'... She will give it a proper video and performances, she's not the kind to do sloppy promotion for her singles.

***and STOP saying 'Venus' is a sure #1 smash single it's totally absurd we NEVER HEARD THE TRACK

*****and also STOP saying Interscope are dumb, they know the numbers are inflated with the pre-orders. They saw everybody is liking the song and they took the safe road for a successful single #2

well idk about that proper performance she has to come up with in the next 5 days also she has to get R.Kelly to the UK .... we could end up in the end with another Wiz Of Oz performance :toofunga:

It's much more fun to have hizophrenia... u never get lonely

Nobody besides her fans knew (or cared) that Venus was going to be the next single. She can still do the promo

Applause didn't have any promo worldwide and it's not a quality club banger as much as We Found Love, Aura and BTW are.

Most songs don't need worldwide promo for it to become a hit though

Why bring up Aura?

BTW was frontloaded as ****

Why are you so sure that Venus will be be a "quality club banger"?

DWUW is the safer choice, it'll re-introduce her to new audiences, it'll be good for her. /end
