The ignorance about film in all of these threads....

Rodriguez is a respected director who intentionally makes his movies like campy exploitation movies from past decades. This style of film-making is fun, evokes nostalgia for those who grew up when exploitation movies were at their peak, and are self-aware enough to generate critical praise, just like the first Machete. Collaborating with Rodriguez ****s on collaborating with Rihanna.

You tell them girl :hor:

Why does Gaga get herself into these low budget B-grade movies, yet doesn't collaborate with Rihanna?!?!  :nooo:

do research. I bet Rihanna is lower than this movie

Besides, Riri's talents compare to this directior's its just like comparing ant to an elephant.

Now i'll never look at the VW bus the same...

I don't want Gaga's death to be gory in the movie though it'd be horrid for Monsters to watch

So she's supposed to die? :noparty:

Indeed; that's what makes people need to watch the film - to find out how she meets her end.  Being thrown into a giant mincer would be fitting.

She is trying to kill Machete so she will probably die. But that will still be awesome!

What makes Machete (and the whole Grindhouse/Rodriguez Tarantino formula) different is that they're based off the slapstick/exploitation formula, except generally more progressive and with more substance. Rodriguez is usually more over the top than Tarantino, in certain aspects.

I cannot wait.

If she goes out like O-Ren Ishii (or even campier), then my life will be complete.

3 points in and ready for more
